After that, as digital became an ever larger part of the picture, he forced himself to adopt the new technology and rethink his way of working, even though he didn’t particularly like the computer work involved. The result has been convincing : his photography graces the pages of many magazines – Powder, Freeskier, Ski Canada, National Geographic Adventure, etc. – and he has worked on advertising c ampaig ns for compan ies such as Oakley, Rossignol and Orage (to name just a few). was an official photographers for the Vancouver Olympics and has won competitions as prestigious as the World Ski and Snowboard Festival’s Pro Photographer Showdown. Twenty years have passed since he got started as a photographer. Hundreds of trips later and with millions of shots under his belt, Blake seems as passionate as ever about mountain photography. “It’s how I got started, and it never left my heart,” he says.
