Skagit Regional Health offers comprehensive orthopedic and sports medicine services in two locations, Skagit Regional Clinics - Riverbend in Mount Vernon and the Cascade Valley Orthopedics clinic in Arlington. Sports Medicine is also available in the Skagit Regional Clinics – Sedro Woolley location. Skagit Regional Health’s Orthopedic and Sports Medicine team features world renowned and fellowship trained specialists. The Orthopedics and Sports Medicine team has grown in recent months, improving patient access and creating opportunities for Sports Medicine providers also offer medical assistance for high school sports teams in the community. Dr. Christopher Sheu and Dr. Roger Lee are frequently spotted on the sidelines of area sporting events, working with the athletes. The Orthopedics Department offers the following services to patients: • Joint replacement services • Minimally invasive (arthroscopic) surgery

• Sports injury management • Fracture care for children and adults • Pediatric orthopedic care When total joint replacement surgery is needed, Skagit Regional Health offers pre-operative classes and education to prepare patients for their upcoming procedure. Classes help patients learn what to expect before, during, and after their surgery, as well as providing an opportunity to address concerns and complete pre-registration paperwork. Whether or not surgery is needed, physical therapy and rehabilitation services can help patients return to a normal, active lifestyle postinjury. Physical therapy helps rebuild strength and improve motor skills in the affected areas, and can address underlying issues that could make a patient predisposed to future injuries.
