How to get more out of your European Ceramic Society membership

As a member of the Netherlands Ceramic Society NKV, you are automatically a member of the European Ceramic Society ECerS. Being member of the ECerS allows you advantages such as reduced prices to the events organised by ECerS.

For 2023, let’s point out the following events:

• AIMed ECerS 2023 Winter School on 22 and 23 February in Zagreb, Croatia, focusing on emerging antimicrobial biomaterials for orthopaedic applications

• ECerS Summer School on 29 and 30 June in Lyon, France, with microstructural & structural characterisation as topic

• The XVIII ECerS Conference from 2 to 6 July in Lyon, France: the biannual conference and exhibition of the European Ceramic Society

• The young Ceramists Additive Manufacturing Forum yCAM 2023 from 31 August to 1 September in Leoben, Austria

As a member of ECerS, you will also be eligible for the following calls for projects:

• JECS Trust Mobility Grants – mainly for visits by individual researchers to other laboratories within Europe to learn new techniques or accessing equipment not available in their own laboratories.

• JECS Trust support for Conferences, etc. – an allowance of 500 euros per student to help them to participate to conferences etc, to cover travel expenses and accommodation.

How to become a member?

Contact the Netherlands Ceramic Society NKV via e-mail address secretaris@ceramics.nl or info@ceramics.nl to become an NKV member. For an annual fee of 35 euros you will be able to attend the NKV events at reduced costs (3-4 times a year, see www.ceramics.nl), and you will receive 4 times a year the magazine KGK. Once you become an NKV member, you will automatically be considered as a member of ECerS.
