Pursuing Dreams in Life’s Unlikely Situation Ibanda G. Roland Jinja Uganda Africa

R

Sistah’s Café Mission to Africa is helping one family at a time with wholehearted desire to reach many. Sharing the dream of I.G. Roland is one way we hope to encourage others to operate in the love of God towards one another, yet his Order Today! story reminds me, of the young man “Joseph” in the scriptures; enduring long term challenges. It is with great honor and respect that I share Roland’s Story as he has shared it witharound me and the others.

I and a co-worker survived the brutal assault, but each of us suffered serious injuries. I was rescued and taken to a Red Cross camp for medical treatment.

When doctors released me, I returned home in Jinja. It is extremely dangerous to work in war zones, but I and many young men have no other opportunity to secure employment.

As my mother had sustained extensive injuries from an attack by robbers and sickness, which disables her to work; I worked hard and seek work daily. I want a better life for her, my family.”

Are You Thinking Healthy?

Fiber Up Eating foods rich in dietary fiber is a heart healthy way to improve your life. Fiber aids in digestion, keeps your digestive tract healthy, and can help prevent heart disease, diabetes, and certain types of cancer. So what is the best way to add more fiber to your diet? It is easier than you might think.

Make sure to include at least five servings of fruits and vegetables in your diet each day. Some fiber rich fruits and vegetables include apples, berries, oranges, pears, prunes, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, carrots, beans, and peas. Try to eat more raw vegetables and fruit, and include the skins if possible. Boiling them causes them to lose up to one-half of the available fiber.

Replace white bread with whole-grain bread and eat brown rice instead of white rice. Oatmeal and multigrain cereals are also a great way to add fiber. Bran cereal is a good source of fiber. Look for whole-grain pasta as well.

The key is to start slowly. Fiber should be increased in your diet gradually, in order to avoid bloating, cramping, and gas. Add a new source of fiber every few days and be sure to drink plenty of water as you increase your fiber intake. ___________________________________________

I was reviewing the things that God has spoken in my Spirit, being renewed in my mind without any doubt.

I trust my Father beyond measure. I ask you, where can real hope be found? It’s only in Him. Sometimes things change and it seems as though there is no hope, now we must remember immediately that God is still that unchanging, loving, all present, and never forsaking us, Father. Sincerely, to me, that is a powerful thought to remember but also the power and authority that he has given us are available to us and by active faith, we activate it. Let's read Isaiah 35:1-4 in the NLT. Hope for Restoration. “Even the wilderness and desert will be glad in those days. The wasteland will rejoice and blossom with spring crocuses.

Yes, there will be an abundance of flowers and singing and joy! The deserts will become as green as the mountains of Lebanon, as lovely as Mount Carmel or the plains of Sharon. There the LORD will display his glory, the splendor of our God. With this news, strengthen those who have tired hands, and encourage those who have weak knees.

Say to those with fearful hearts, Be strong, and do not fear, for your God is coming to destroy your enemies. He is coming to save you.” Are you facing what seems to be a dry place in life? Well, I come in the name of the LORD to speak life to that place and to remind you, our Father desires to display His glory in your life. What is your part? Trust Him! Rely on Him! And do not doubt! Stand strong! Exercise your faith!

Encourage another person today. Yes! Right in the midst of your troubles rejoice and sing out loud your victory! Encourage yourself in the LORD! “With this news, strengthen those who have tired hands, and encourage those who have weak knees. Say to those with fearful hearts, “Be strong, and do not fear, for your God is coming to destroy your enemies. He is coming to save you.” We are living in a time, while, in the natural realm many are experiencing hardships from the economy and various tragedies are taking place around the world, but the focus is not that; we are to show forth His glory in the midst of it.
