Motor Casing SIP Performance Many Vespa fans consider the smallframe models motor to be the finest amongst those produced by PIAGGIO. For this reason, we have decided to have revised and updated versions produced.

The SIP smallframe motor cases are, despite their extensive strengthening, almost identical in appearance to the original items. These essential improvements qualify this motor as a first choice when replacing your original, or as a basis for any ambitious tuning project. Both the transfer and inlet ports share their internal dimensions with the originals, with lots of potential for reshaping and enlarging. The material surrounding these areas has been increased to facilitate ‚out of the box‘ port enlargement work, without the need for any extra material to be added by welding. The inlet sealing surface has also been increased and can now be enlarged over both motor halves.

The openings for the casing bolts on its lower half have been relocated externally to allow enlargement, which in turn facilitates the use of crankshafts with larger webs and/or increased stroke. The reinforced swing arm assembly has been intensively laboratory tested and approved for its durability in all situations and resistance to cracking and breakage. In addition this new motor type was successfully test-run at almost full-throttle for two whole weeks in combination with a POLINI 133cc cylinder, 24mm carburettor and a PM exhaust. All temperature, corrosion and road tests were also passed with flying colours and the customer feedback also helped refine the final product of our labours to perfection. The overall design is based upon the PK range motor, with a three stud inlet manifold mounting and the exhaust mounting opening located on the lower side of the swing arm assembly.

If a Vespa 125/PV/ET3 motor is being replaced our Serie Pro manifold adapters (inlet: #21500060, #2150007-, #21500080) can be used to ensure compatibility. Another upgrade is the use of high-end Italian produced motor mounting bushes for a tight suspension. Before being dispatched in a sturdy double-strength box these motors are carefully checked for correct dimensioning, production quality and completeness by one of our team.

We have two versions of these motor cases available, the main difference being the diameter of the area where the flywheel side bearing is located: Motor #24320000 is compatible with the ETS series crankshaft and the PX bearing. Motor #24310000 is suited for use with the bearing fitted to all Vespa 50-125/PV/ET-3/PK 50-125 motors with its 47mm outer diameter.

Cylinder Head SIP

Cylinder Head 75cc for Racing Cylinder PINASCO §

The SIP cylinder heads are made entirely of CNC milled aluminum. It‘s finely burnished and optimised surface, as well as additional horizontal cooling ribs, assure ideal surface protection and improved heat dispersion. A stabilizing plateau works as reinforcement, while a KOSO KOOR14 temperature sensor can be attached to measure this head‘s temperature. A high quality, tight sealing O-ring replaces the head gasket. The advantages are obvious: improved sealing, no gasket slippage and no additional antipinking edges. Combustion chamber, bore and compression are perfectly aligned to the respective cylinder. 57 mm version: for all shafts with original stroke. 60 mm version: made for torque. Perfect for 60 mm long stroke shafts. Developer version: without plug thread and combustion chamber. The SIP VINTAGE cylinder heads are also CNC milled from solid aluminium alloy. Their profile has been designed for an optimal fit and performance in combination with the respective piston crown and bore. The compression ratio and squish band clearance perfectly meet the requirements of each individual cylinder type covered.

The SIP PREMIUM gasket sets replace all paper gaskets with aramid fibre gaskets. This material (= a mixture of cellulose and synthetic fibres, free of asbestos) guarantees a very effective sealing and is therefore used in all modern engines. The kits also contain o-rings.

Racing Exhaust SIP ROAD 2.0 Sport Style § Our very own SIP Road Sport racing exhausts design was inspired by the ‚SITO Sport‘ exhaust pipes that were produced in the sixties. This exhaust can also deliver the sporting performance its appearance promises, which is why we included the five segments of expansion chamber into its design. This essential feature provides both improved acceleration and also higher revs. The exhaust is available painted with either a black or red heat-resistant paint combined with chromed end-pipes.

Racing Exhaust SIP ROAD XL § The SIP Road XL is truly a wolf in sheep‘s clothing. This pipe resembles the original item very closely. It has enormous internal dimensions, very similar to the volume of most bazooka style expansion / silencer type systems. It has been designed with a layer of silencer wool between the solid outer and inner perforated layers of steel to ensure that this exhaust sounds as unobtrusive as it looks.

The performance delivery is amazing. The XL creates extra power over the complete rev range and also enables higher revs – normally only possible in combination with a SIP Performance, PM, RZ expansion chamber or similar.

The full power potential really comes into its own on motor set ups with 20 hp and more. The exhaust should be combined with a tuning cylinder to reach it´s full power.

Racing Exhaust SIP Vintage § Ken Cobbing, English manufacturer of Vespa and Lambretta accessories, produced sport exhaust systems during the sixties. Their very distinct form was exemplified though thick chromed exhaust pipes and a round exhaust chamber, usually painted in red, black or gold.

This exhaust is an attractive replica exhaust, which matches the original exhaust 1:1 in appearance and performance. But not the price. It‘s sound is a pleasant sporty throb.

Although the „Vintage“ Replica is a race exhaust, it doesn‘t increase performance. The tuning is more an optical effect.

Racing Exhaust SIP ROAD Banana § The banana with more “oomph”! The SIP Road Banana has more torque and also a noticeable power increase compared to the more usual bananas. The additionally supplied exhaust down-tube manifold enables an exhaust belonging to the elite class of tuning options.

The, for the large frame, principle of additional manifolds has been adapted to the small frame exhausts. The enlarged cylinder exhaust port manifold connects ideally with the rest of the expansion chamber system. This offers both rideability and a more ideal gear change operation. The sound is agreeably decent offering itself for town and everyday use. Tours and even longer journeys are also possible. The exhaust is initially produced completely ready for use and not later cut open and re-welded.

Racing Exhaust SIP Performance 2.0 § The main body of the SIP Performance 2.0 has been completely redesigned and is now noticeably more voluminous. The larger dimensions still allow the use of the main stand and wider-section tyres. These systems are hand-welded at JL exhausts from either stainless or normal steel. The manifold is held in place at both ends by springs and the whole assembly is attached using a very solid mounting bracket that can withstand the vibrations caused by the silencer. This exhaust is compatible with both standard and tuned motors. This exhaust is available with various silencer types, including carbon fibre, aluminium black and stainless steel. This exhaust also provides large amounts of torque and its power delivery remains constant throughout the rev range.

Its performance kicks in lower down the rev range than other comparable exhausts, such as those produced by Newline or DSE. There is no noticeable lapse in delivery all the way through to fourth gear, with a similar maximum power output.

Racing Exhaust VSP Road § The VSP Road is very similar to it‘s „big brother“. Especially in lower ranges in the defused Road version noticeably quieter making it better for streets off the race track.

A big plus here: as left hand version, the VSP Road fits motor scooter models with a side compartment. Perfect for ET3 pilots and those who usually can‘t use a larger racing exhaust because the side compartment is in the way. The Road has noticeable performance increase. On one of our test scooters with a decent POLINI 133cc set up, the VSP Road made 14 PS mobile. A complete combination for daily usage, that - with the right transmission - will get you 120 km/h. In recent times DELLORTO have regrettably been unable to deliver some of the more important jet sizes for their carburettors. The quality of certain after-market reproduction jets is unacceptable for us at SIP. For these reasons we have teamed up with the people at KOSO to have our own jets produced, complete with the SIP logo! While the sizes of the DELLORTO jets can vary up to +/- 0.05mm from the given value, the SIP jets are much more precisely produced with their sizes only varying by +/- 0.005mm.

Clutch Basket SIP The SIP Sport clutch basket is equipped with an outer reinforcement ring. The COSA 2 clutch baskets are exclusively produced for SIP from high quality materials. Pure performance thanks to high precision fit, hardened flanks, optimised groove that holds the clutch cluster circlip and 16 springs supports (specially made rivets pressed in). Sport version with a one-unit ring that provides enough space for the clucht friction plates.

Race version CNC milled and nitrided.

User V.Good: „I fitted this clutch to my 20bhp T5 after the original clutch clutch started slipping at higher revs. So far its been excellent. I‘ve done approx. 30 miles with it. The clutch lever isn‘t that stiff and its made the engine running and revving a lot smoother making power delivery not as jerky...“

No further spacer is necessary.To compensate for the wheel being off the centreline of the scooter the pivot on the swing arm of the motor needs to be shortened by 1cm on the right hand side. The motor is so moved to the right. 110/70-11, 120/90-10‘ or 130/70-10‘ tyres can be used with this conversion kit. Shock Absorber SIP Performance Oldtimer A major factor in the design of the SIP Performance shock absorbers was to provide an optimal rebound damping. The rebound damping controls the speed at which the spring decompresses. This enables the spring to be controlled and its action softened, especially during hard braking, eliminating the danger of the suspension acting like a pogo-stick or brake diving. The damping occurs in two separate internal chambers, one containing gas, the other oil. The attachment bushes are produced using a tough polyurethane material.

The SIP Performance fast flow fuel tap enables the fuel to flow significantly faster (depending on the fuel level up to 60% compared to a standard fuel tap). A brand new casting is the innovative basis for a higher material thickness and a bigger bore/ flow Ø. In addition to that, the new cast finally allows of a supply tube with a significantly higher diameter. The enlarged tap bit ensures the untroubled flow of the fuel regardless of the lever’s position.

You find tight rubber sealings around the apertures. An additional sliding disc guarantees simple and easy handling. The fuel tap comes with a chromed solid metal lever.

Owing to its perfect manufacture, the new fuel tap is a welcome premium spare part for daily riders, too.

The SIP Premium scooter cover is manufactured using the highest quality materials and it was especially designed to conform to the distinctive styling that is the definition of scooter design. Pockets containing extra storage capacity have been included to cater for a rear-mounted top-case, prominent windshields and also extended mirror stems.

Postage and mailing costs, Europe: we benefit from a reasonably priced mailing charge totalling just €5.00 with DHL irrespective of whether the package weighs 500g or 31kg or consists of several packages!

Depending on the country we can also ship with alternative service providers e.g.

Credit cards: we can accept your VISA or Mastercard. For your payment we need your name, the full card number, the card expiry date and a signature on the order. We have to receive credit card orders in the written form, meaning by fax, email, webshop or letter/postcard.

To return items, please use the return form enclosed with your order, which makes things easier for you and for us. You can also arrange to return your items in your online customer account.

Transport damage: if your package is evidently damaged, please ensure this is also confirmed by the postman. If you only notice the damages later, please present it at the post office or the postman within 24 hours and have the damage confirmed. We make sure all our packages are insured.

Further deliveries: We try to ensure all of our items are in stock. If parts of your order are temporarily unavailable then this will be shown on your invoice. With SIP EXPRESS (6.- € surcharge) the package is guaranteed of same day shipping as long as we receive your order by approx. 4.30pm. This is an in-house, SIP Express Service only.

The minimum order value is €25.-, it may be more for countries that are further afield, however.

A €1.50 mailing charge is added to every delivery which covers the cost of environmentally friendly packaging materials. If we receive an order by 12.00 noon, we are normally able to send the goods out on the same day. Your items should then be delivered straight to your home within a couple of days - it doesn‘t get easier than that!

Cash on delivery (C.O.D.): you pay for your order by paying the delivery man. This service is only offered by UPS in selected countries, however. UPS also charges for the payment on delivery service.

Charges depend on the country and the value of the order. If you choose payment on delivery as your preferred method of payment we will show you the fees in our webshop when you place your order.

contact & directions How to find us: We are very conveniently located in the industrial estate “Frauenwald” in Landsberg am Lech. For those arriving on the A96 motorway, we recommend to take the exit Landsberg Nord and drive into town. At the first intersection (opposite ALDI) turn right until the next traffic light, turn right and go straight. Shortly after the highway bridge at Audi / Mercedes, turn left and continue straight through the roundabout. Approximately 300m further we are on the right side, opposite the sports complex of TSV Landsberg.

When traveling on the motorway-like B17 exit Igling is recommended.

Follow the signs “Industriegebiet Frauenwald”. About the Franz-Kollmann-Straße, which merges into the Fahrenheit Street and then in the Celsiusstraße turn right at the company Viessmann into Emmy-Noether-Straße. After about 200 meters you will find us on the left side.
