20 years ago, when Alex and I went to a scooter rally in Aachen, spread a blanket on the floor and sold some tuning parts that we had constructed, all we wanted was to foot the weekend’s bill for beer and fuel. We would never have thought that our leisure fun would eventually turn into a ‚proper’ business with 70 members of staff and 35,000 parts on stock. Anyway, we are still as enthusiastic about scootering, as we have been back then and our eyes brighten every time that we are able to make a part available that has long gone out of serial production. Just as PIAGGIO labels more and more parts ‚abolito’ (discontinued), we gradually turn into a manufacturer. Why?
