for Vespa ET4 125cc old engine ZAPM04, 4-stroke, AC This 140cc aluminium cylinder produced by MALOSSI will breathe some extra life into older PIAGGIO 4-stroke engines. As these PIAGGIO engines don't have a reputation for being the most powerful out there, MALOSSI reacted to the problem and now has this perfect bolt-on accessory available, such as the one powering the Vespa 125cc ET4Model (Engine Code : ZAPM04). This conversion kit does not only bring with it an increased cubic capacity, but also an improved gas-flow. More torque and a higher top speed are achieved when the engine is properly set up. A high quality forged piston, for increased durability, is also included. Aluminium/ 60mm bore / 4-stroke AC Aluminium cylinder with a chromed bore lining (piston clearance 0.05mm), increased cubic capacity, compression ratio: 1:11.5, 48.6mm stroke, original exhaust and carburettor compatible, forged piston with a high silicium proportion for added durability, optimised gas-flow properties and fuel economy We recommend a NGK CR9EB spark plug. Combined with the MALOSSI 14/47 gear cog kit the power can be effectively transmitted to the road. Increase the size of the main jet by 8-10%.

engine need so much
The increase in cubic capacity that the MALOSSI 187cc aluminium cylinder brings provides a welcome boost in power for the air-cooled PIAGGIO 125-150cc Leader engine. The extra power available is especially noticeable while travelling with a pillion. Thanks to the increased torque, gradients, hills and strong headwinds are no longer a problem. When combined with a taller overall gear ratio higher top speeds can also be easily achieved.
gearbox oil?
The air cooled and injected LEADER engines have cylinders identical to those found in the carburettorModels. A MALOSSI 'Forcemaster 2' injection module is also included with cylinders for the 'i.e.'Models. Its pre-programmed mappings enable the 187cc cylinder to be used in combination with sports orientated variomatics and/or exhausts. A mapping programme for a more original set up is also included.
This is one of the common queries on our telephone lines. With 4-strokes the main reason are incorrectly installed piston rings. A 4-stroke piston has two piston rings and an oil sealing ring. These rings are only designed to be installed in one particular way to function correctly. See the included mounting instructions for full details.
