"TheSusurrationoftheTree"isa60-minute digital production enhanced with filming effects and the creative use of space, which seeks to open an emotive and sensual communicationbetweenpeople, dance, and oursurroundings.

This double-bill features "Tempting Hearts" by Creative Director Benedict Soh and "The SusurrationoftheTrees"byArtisticDirector Neo Jenny. This award-winning duo experiments with creating Chinese Dance works that challenge both artistry and technicality of its profession in this contemporaryworld.

Inspiredbymovieclips,"TemptingHearts"is a work of fragmentary self-dialogues that reflect their past relationship's inner emotions and memories of absence. This new work utilises voice-overs from various movies and Chinese songs to explore the possibilities of expression in relation to the performancespacebyrespondingphysically tolanguageandsound.

"The Susurration of the Tree" is a crossdisciplinary collaboration between Jenny and musician Yong Kailin, Dr Tan Qing Lun and Jeffrey Tan. Inspired by the awe of nature, "The Susurration of the Tree" explores the relationship between trees and man. The original accompaniment was composed, with improvisation done in reaction to the dancers' movements, with a wide range of instruments, from dizi, xiao, xun, violin, voices and other axillary instruments, enhanced with music soundscape.
