The UK Aid Match Teso Youth and Women's Livelihoods Project is a two-year project with funding from the UK Aid, which is being implemented in Teso, North East Uganda. The project is targeting 1000 smallholder households with a deliberate focus on women, youths and people living with disabilities. The overall project objective is to achieve increased food, nutrition and income security of 1000 smallholder households of Teso North by May 2021.
To measure the project outcomes over the life of the project, the project started off by establishing baseline information for indicators that will be used as a basis for assessing the project performance. The project adopted the Individual Household Method (IHM), a practical tool developed by Evidence for Development, which is designed to obtain reliable estimates of income from individual households for purposes of monitoring, evaluation and where appropriate, improving programme interventions.
