Gaven Hobbs Senior / Don Lockwood
Gaven has been in theater since the 8th grade and has been obsessed with it ever since. You may remember him as Bingley in Pride and Prejudice, Topher (The Prince) in Cinderella, or Admiral Boom in Mary Poppins. To him, theater is a way to experience new worlds and to discover more and more of what it means to truly be human. Gaven is super grateful to all who have supported him and gotten him here. He is so privileged to dedicate one last show with the boys to God. “If we live, we live for the Lord; and if we die, we die for the Lord. So, whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord.” – Romans 14:8
Sarah Beth Underwood Senior | Kathy Selden
SB will miss the Silverdale stage but is honored to give her last show her best. She is a regular in SBA Theater. She has played Winifred Banks in Mary Poppins, Mrs. Snow in Pollyanna, Hodel in Fiddler on the Roof, Martha Sowerby in The Secret Garden, Cinderella in Cinderella, and Jane Bennet in Pride and Prejudice. She wants to thank the Class of 2023 for being such incredible friends to her. She hopes to return that same level friendship to the department this year. Ultimately, her performance is for God, however He chooses to manifest Himself through it—whether that be through impacting the audience, developing strong bonds with the cast, or by making her skirt fall off onstage – “but please God, not again.” She hopes you will sit back, relax, and be entertained by today’s production of Singin’ in the Rain—but based on how these tap shoes are fitting her, it might be something more like Singin’ in the Pain! “Rather, he must be hospitable, one who loves what is good, who is self-controlled, upright, holy and disciplined.” – Titus 1:8
LJ Bender Senior | Cosmo Brown
LJ has roused audiences as Mr. Collins in Pride and Prejudice, Mendel in Fiddler on the Roof, and as an ensemble member in Cinderella, but never in his life has he been so in tune with himself than being in this show and this family that he’s found. He says, “The only acting I’m doing here is knowing my lines and a mediocre accent, this is who I am. This character I’ve taken on is merely my reflection in colored glass. Cosmo meeting LJ would be a very interesting experience. This journey I’ve embarked on has changed me. Theater has been my confidante, my place to let how God has created me and what He has given me flow freely through me.” However, words will fail, so he would like to offer you a glimpse into this wild world of wonder by experiencing what he and his theater family have worked hard to create for the glory of their Creator. To God be the glory, and to you be this story. And remember, make ‘em laugh! “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” – Romans 15:13




Ella Kate Antanaitis Junior | Lina Lamount
Ella Kate has been thrilled to play the roles of Shprintze in Fiddler on the Roof, Mary Bennet in Pride and Prejudice, and in the ensemble of Cinderella, and has thoroughly enjoyed playing a character that she cahhhhhn’t stand! She’s made countless memories and learned so much from watching her very talented peers. She’d like to shoutout her bestest sisterest everest, the one and the only, Naomi. “You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you.” – Isaiah 26:3
Melina Stafford Senior | Zelda Zanders
Melina is blessed to be performing in her eighth and final high school show at Silverdale. Melina’s time in Silverdale Theatre has changed her life, and she will be forever grateful. Being in SBA’s theatre program these past four years has allowed her to see God’s goodness in ways she never thought possible. She cherishes all of the amazing memories and friendships she has made, and she will miss everyone very much. Melina would like to thank God for the gift of theatre and for allowing her to experience it at Silverdale. She would like to thank the Silverdale Arts staff, especially Mr. Denton, Mr. Humphries, and Dr. Moon, for impacting her and their dedication to their work and students. She would also like to thank her parents for sending her to Silverdale and supporting her in everything she does. Finally, she would like to thank Mrs. Jonker for fostering the love of theatre in her students and for constantly exemplifying the kindness and love of Christ. “For we are God’s masterpiece. John-David Scott Senior | R.F. Simpson
This is John-David Scott’s third and final production at Silverdale, and it has truly been a rollercoaster, but he is thrilled that he got to have such a wonderful experience. Theatre has been a fundamental part of his junior and senior years at SBA, from a one-line part in Cinderella to Mr. Bennet in Pride and Prejudice and now R.F. Simpson. John-David is delighted to play such a fun character for his final production. He would like to thank his dad for inspiring him constantly and pushing him to be a better actor and singer. “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.” – Psalm 23:1-3
Connor Bowman Senior | Roscoe Dexter
Connor last enthralled audiences as Mr. Darcy in Pride and Prejudice, Sebastian in Cinderella, Archibald Craven in The Secret Garden, as well as roles in Fiddler on the Roof, Pollyanna, Mary Poppins, and A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Theater has been his favorite part of high school — period. Finding a family in theater has been such a rewarding experience, as well as being a blast the entire way through, and Singin’ in the Rain is no exception. He knows you will enjoy this show just as much as the cast has enjoyed making it happen! “Do not wear yourself out to get rich; do not trust your own cleverness.” – Proverbs 23:4
Kate Tucker Junior | Dora Bailey
Kate has dazzled audiences as Mrs. Bennet in Pride and Prejudice, Charlotte in Cinderella, and as an ensemble member in Fiddler on the Roof. Kate has loved being a part of this musical. The funny moments backstage, inside jokes, and incredible cast have made Singin’ in the Rain memorable. She is so thankful for Mrs. Jonker, Mrs. Askew, Dr. Moon, and all those who helped put on this musical. She has truly enjoyed this show and how it has encouraged her to grow both on and off the stage. Proverbs 3:5-6
Josh Baker Junior | Production Singer
This is the third production in Josh’s theater journey. He enjoyed roles in Pride and Prejudice and Cinderella. His theater journey all started with a bet with his friend, Jo Ellington, saying, “If one of us joins, then the other has to as well.” Ever since the bet, Josh has loved the theater community and acting. The new friends and experiences he has made through theater will last him a lifetime. “Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.” – Matthew 6:34
Jo Ellington Junior | Rod
This is the third production in Jo’s theater journey. His first role was JeanMichel, a brave revolutionist who sought a better kingdom in the musical Cinderella, and most recently, Col. Fitzwilliam in Pride and Prejudice. This all started with a bet he made with Josh Baker in which he said, “If one joins the musical, the other has to as well,” and “shock hands” as his theater adventure was set in stone. Never would Jo have ever been able to foretell the blessing this moment was. It has made a huge impact in his life, helping him make leaps outside his comfort zone with a smile on his face, grow close with new friends, and even closer with the Lord. “And if your eye causes you to stumble, tear it out. For it is better to enter the kingdom of God with one eye than with two eyes and to be cast to hell.” – Mark 9:47
Zethan Jones Junior | Villian
Zethan enjoys lots of activities. He was a part of each of the musicals while in high school, which included Fiddler on the Roof and Cinderella. While theater is one thing he participates in, he has also been a part of the Silverdale robotics team for three years. In addition to this, he has climbed with the Silverdale rock climbing team since 8th grade and is always happy to try new things. “Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever.” – Psalm 118
Grace Womack Sophomore | Lady-in-Waiting
This is Grace’s third high school show at Silverdale. You may have seen her as part of the cast of Pride and Prejudice or Cinderella. Outside of acting, she loves rock climbing and reading in her free time. She has twin sisters, Cate and Claire, and a boxer puppy, all whom she loves so much! “For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” – Ephesians 2:10
Ethan McLaughen Senior |
Policeman/Man on the Screen Ethan has loved his years in theatre and has pursued every show he could, including A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Mary Poppins, Fiddler on the Roof, The Secret Garden, Cinderella, and Pride and Prejudice. “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” – Romans 8:28
Will Cline Sophomore | Butler
Will is very excited to be in his third production at Silverdale. He previously graced the Silverdale stage in Cinderella and Pride and Prejudice and has really enjoyed working on Singin’ in the Rain with his castmates and great teachers. “Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance.” – Romans 5:3
Emerson Blackburn Junior | Sid Phillips
This is Emerson’s debut show as Sid Phillips, the movie director. While he is typically seen in the band, he is thrilled to get the opportunity to act and sing. “There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens:” – Ecclesiastes 3:1
Trent McCary Junior | Sound Engineer
Usually in the orchestra pit, as he has been playing trumpet for six years for the school, Trent decided to branch out to see a new form of the arts and act in his first show. He does not regret one moment of it. He has grown to know so many people and love them all and has learned a lot more about himself and what he is capable of. Trent is thankful for all of the fun moments, the hard moments, and the silly ones in between. “He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end.” – Ecclesiastes 3:11
Leah Brooks Sophomore | Fan #1
Leah is excited to have another opportunity to share the Creekside stage with her peers. You may have seen her as a stepsister in Cinderella, Kitty Bennet in Pride and Prejudice, Michael Banks in Mary Poppins, or in one of the numerous shows she has been in around town. She would like to thank the students and staff, whose hard work and dedication make these opportunities possible. “But he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.”

Emma has been involved in Silverdale Theatre since freshman year and could not be more grateful for all the incredible friends, teachers, and mentors that came along with it. A huge thanks to Mrs. Jonker for giving her a true joy for theater, Dr. Moon and Mrs. Askew who have spent endless hours behind the scenes, and Mr. Humphries for cultivating and inspiring in her a true passion for music. Ali is delighted to be a part of Singin’ in the Rain! As an avid fan of singing, dancing, and acting, she has performed in numerous productions, including Footloose: The Musical (Chattanooga State) and Little Women (SBA Middle School). Ali is beyond excited to showcase all that she and her friends have been doing to put on this classic Hollywood show. She has enjoyed the challenge that Singin’ in the Rain has been, as she has never tapdanced in a downpour. She would like to thank God, her family, friends, and the incredible cast and creative team for their unwavering support! Enjoy the show! “Praise the Lord. Bentley Pearson Junior | 2 nd Assistant Director
Bentley is thrilled to be a part of her 9th production at Silverdale. She has enthralled audiences in SBA Theatre productions of Pride and Prejudice, Cinderella, The Secret Garden, and Fiddler on the Roof. She has had a blast learning to tap-dance and rehearsing for this show with her fellow cast members! She wants to thank her mom and dad for everything they’ve done for her. She would also like to thank Dr. Moon for her constant support and loving friendship, as well as Mrs. Jonker for her kindness and genuine love for her students. “For in him we live and move and have our being.’ As some of your own poets have said, ‘We are his offspring.” – Acts 17:28
Elizabeth Fraker Junior | 3 rd Assistant Director
Elizabeth has been acting since elementary school and loves to express her emotions on stage. She has captured audiences in the Creekside Theater as Lydia Bennet in Pride and Prejudice and in the ensemble of Cinderella When not in practice, she enjoys hanging out with her friends. She would like to thank everyone who has helped make this show so great and cannot wait for next year’s shows! “Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.” – Lamentations 3:22-23
Piper Williams
Sophomore | Miss Dinsmore / Dance Cptn. Piper has always had a love for the arts. She is a dancer with Jan Lively Dance Company, an actress, and a singer. Piper enjoys expressing herself through the arts, surrounded by others who share the same interests! She has been seen in various shows, most recently in Pride and Prejudice and Cinderella. She is very excited to perform in SBA’s 2025 spring musical Singin’ in the Rain! Enjoy the show! “Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.” – 1 Peter 5:7
Kaytee Parilla Junior | Male Diction Teacher
Kaytee has been in theatre for as long as she can remember. She first started doing community theatre in elementary school, then moved on to larger roles as she got into high school. Her favorite roles have been Miss Stacy in Anne of Green Gables (Grace Baptist Academy) and Lady Catherine De Bourgh in Pride and Prejudice (SBA Theatre). “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. Sydney Skinner Senior | Sam
Sydney has been a part of several shows here at SBA backstage, including Mary Poppins, Cinderella, and Pride and Prejudice, but this is her first time on stage. She is very excited and has enjoyed learning how to tap-dance with Mrs. Regal. Jayden Blair Sophomore | Girl
Jayden is excited to make her debut in Silverdale Baptist Academy’s production of Singin’ in the Rain! She enjoys reading, baking, and rock climbing when she’s not on stage. Jayden has been taking vocal lessons for almost two years and is eager to bring her passion for performing to this classic production. She has charmed audiences in SBA’s Pride and Prejudice and Cinderella productions. She never thought taking tap as a little kid would come in handy, but here we are. Naomi has had so much fun being in her first production and getting closer to the cast! She would like to thank SB Underwood and Melina Stafford for being her super seniors, as well as her sister, Ella Kate, for calling her a slacker when she skipped one rehearsal (all jokes aside, for supporting her and encouraging her to try something new). plays with his mom, who loves the theatre. When the chance to be in a play came up, his mom encouraged him to try out, and his homeroom teacher forced him slightly into the line at the audition. He discovered he really enjoyed it and is excited to continue performing by being in this show. His previous credits include Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (Granpa Joe) and the Elementary Christmas Program (Emcee). “Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. Chapman Henderson 6 th Grade | Young
Cosmo Chapman came to SBA in the 3rd grade. During his time here, he has enjoyed roles in Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (Willy Wonka), the Elementary Christmas program (Joseph), Winnie the Pooh (ensemble), and being part of the Upper School Choir. His mom signed him up for piano lessons in 2nd grade, and he quickly realized that he loved all music. He loves to sing and write songs in his free time. He has two older brothers and a 20-pound cat. He dreams of becoming a singer/songwriter someday, like his dad. “Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Kailie Teuton Senior | Ensemble
Kailie is so excited to be a part of her fifth show at Silverdale! This will be her first show on stage since 8th grade. She has enjoyed spotlighting for Mary Poppins, The Secret Garden, and Pride and Prejudice and getting to know her fellow castmates. She wants to thank her parents, friends, and Mrs. Jonker for pushing her to audition. This show has taught her life lessons and the importance of diligence. Without them, she wouldn’t have been able to make the relationships and memories she has today! “Jesus looked at them and said, ‘With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.’” – Matthew 19:26
Kacie Wade Senior | Ensemble
Kacie has loved being a part of the cast as a dancer. She has danced for SBA’s His Company for six years and has been involved in musical theater for five. She has appeared on stage in SBA’s productions of Fiddler on the Roof, Mary Poppins, and A Midsummer Night’s Dream. She has enjoyed getting to know everyone in this cast and is so grateful for this experience. “‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.’” – Jeremiah 29:11
Taylor Killingsworth Junior | Ensemble
In three SBA productions, which include Pride and Prejudice, Cinderella, and Fiddler on the Roof, Taylor has only danced and worked in the tech crew, but Singin’ in the Rain is the first one she has acted in. This musical has rekindled her love for tap dancing and theater, and she has cherished the time she has had with her friends in rehearsals. Taylor is so grateful for the wonderful friendships, teachers, memories, and atmosphere the Theater Department has given to her, and she will miss her senior friends very much! “Whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will find it.” – Matthew 16:25
Sophie Barnes Sophomore | Ensemble
Sophie likes theater because it’s unlike anything she’s ever done. Typically, all she does is play sports and work out. Sophie was previously part of SBA’s Cinderella cast. Theatre has helped Sophie get out of her comfort zone and make new friends, which she truly enjoys. “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” – Isaiah 41:10
Lauren Holt Sophomore | Ensemble
Lauren greatly enjoys theater and has been part of the casts of SBA’s productions of Pride and Prejudice and Cinderella. Outside of SBA, she has enjoyed being in productions of Sherlock Holmes, Big Bad Musical, Little Mermaid, Alice in Wonderland, Frozen, and Aristocats. She hopes you enjoy the show! Joshua 1:6
Mallory Shelton Senior | Audio Engineer
Mallory has been involved in theatre on and off since middle school; however, in her sophomore year, she became the school’s primary sound engineer. Additionally, she serves as a board member of the Signal Mountain Playhouse, where she acts as a sound co-engineer. While she does not grace the stage in a literal sense, her work fills the stage. Although this is her last year with SBA Theatre, her deep love for the theatre has encouraged her to become involved in the University of Mississippi’s Theatre Department as a sound engineer, and she is considering a Theatre minor. “The Lord is my strength and my defense; he has become my salvation.” – Psalm 118:14
Brooke Millsaps Sophomore | Tech Crew
While Brooke has been seen on the Creekside Theater stage in Pride and Prejudice and Cinderella, doing behind-the-scenes things this year has been a completely new experience! Learning new things has truly given her a new appreciation for the tech crew! This show has been so fun to watch unfold! She hopes you feel the magic and hard work put into the show! Devin Elliott Senior | Drumset
Devin is always behind the scenes making things happen, whether that is backstage helping Mary Poppins fly or in the orchestra pit playing drums. Devin was a vital part of SBA’s productions of Mary Poppins, Pollyanna, Fiddler on the Roof, The Secret Garden, and Cinderella. She is so grateful to Mrs. Askew, Mr. Sneed, and Mr. Humphries for giving her these wonderful opportunities and encouraging her every step of the way!
