Head of School Report

Letter from the School Board
What a blessing it is to join fellow members who are united in a mission to transform the lives of students for Christ, while providing an excellent education rooted in a biblical worldview.
Looking back on the 2024–2025 school year, we can truly see God’s faithfulness at work. The Lord continues to pour out His goodness through our dedicated administration, faculty, and staff – each one committed to shepherding the hearts and minds of our students. For this, we give Him all the glory.
As we step into this next season, we are excited about the continued growth of our Academy. With the construction of the Commons, our new STEAM facility has opened even greater opportunities for our students in science, technology, engineering, culinary arts, and math. Just as the Silverdale Center expanded our vision for the arts, this new facility broadens our capacity to prepare students for the future, while keeping Christ at the center of their education.
These advancements are only possible through God’s provision and the generosity of parents, grandparents, alumni, and friends who faithfully support SBA. Whether through gifts to the annual fund, participation in the Gala, or countless other ways, your partnership makes a lasting difference.
We give thanks for the legacy of Silverdale Baptist Church, whose vision helped bring this Academy to life, and for the commitment of every family who calls SBA home. Together, we move forward with confidence that “He who began a good work in us will carry it on to completion” (Philippians 1:6).
In Christ,
John Shadden School Board President

Letter from the Head of School
Silverdale Family,
It is my pleasure to present to you Silverdale Baptist Academy’s 2024–2025 Head of School Annual Report. My hope is that while you take a moment to reflect on this past year through these pages, you will join me in thanking God for all the great things He has done on our campus.
It has been a true privilege and honor for me to lead SBA for many years. I wholeheartedly believe that leaning on God for His wisdom and guidance, while being in continuous prayer, are key contributors to the Academy’s success. In addition, having an incredible team of faculty, staff, administrators, and school board members who are committed to serving the Lord, while providing the best Christian education for our students, is invaluable. Along with the unwavering support of our families, together we remain dedicated to holding steadfast to our mission:

SBA’s mission is to partner with families in order to provide an environment of academic excellence with a biblical worldview, which is conducive to developing educated young people of character, while preparing them to represent our Lord Jesus Christ in all walks of life.
This year, we were also blessed to break ground on The Commons, an all-inclusive building that is an incredible addition to our campus. The Commons houses a fully-equipped STEAM lab, a culinary lab for student instruction, a broadcasting and journalism media suite, expansive boys’ and girls’ locker rooms, and additional classroom and meeting spaces for students and staff. We are incredibly thankful that this project has already been fully funded through two grants and an extraordinary $1 million donation. Breaking ground on The Commons represents a significant step forward for our Academy, providing enhanced facilities that will support our students’ growth in discipleship, excellence, and integrity for years to come. The Commons

Community is a vital part of who we are. Traditions like “Fridays at the Hansard Home”—where high school students enjoy lunch, fellowship, karaoke, basketball, arcade games, pool, and plenty of laughter—have become meaningful rhythms that strengthen relationships across our student body. The Hansard home also continues to serve as a place of hospitality for new employee lunches each fall and various fundraising gatherings throughout the year. These moments remind us that our school family is about more than classrooms: it is about connection, encouragement, and shared joy.
We are grateful for the way the Lord continues to bless our students, families, and faculty. It is my prayer that as you read through this report, you will see evidence of God’s faithfulness and join us in giving Him glory for all He has done and will continue to do through Silverdale Baptist Academy.
In Christ,
Becky Hansard Head of School

“Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.”
– Psalm
119:105

Each year, the Academy selects a theme that sets the tone for the school year ahead. This year's school theme was "Take You At Your Word."
We often worry about what tomorrow holds for us. We fear that God’s blessing will run out or that God will call us into a situation that we do not want to be in. In these times of worry, we forget to hold to God’s promises: that His love is unconditional, that He goes before us, that His grace abounds, and that His forgiveness is always available. God has given us so many promises to reassure us, and we can hold to these promises whenever we begin to worry.
The corresponding theme song “Take You at Your Word” – by Cody Carnes and Benjamin William Hastings – became our rallying cry during the school year and helped focus our hearts on God’s promises.

PRESCHOOL
A Season of Growth
Each school year is a unique journey — one that captures the spirit of learning, discovery, and spiritual growth that flourishes throughout our preschool.
During the preschool day, students regularly played in the “soil” (S-O-I-L) of God’s creation—Singing, Observing, Inquiring, and Learning. They explored nature, shared joy with friends, and asked big questions about the world and God. In both our classrooms and our outdoor learning environments, they were growing in every way.

Faith-Filled Celebrations
THANKSGIVING PROGRAM
Our students shared songs, prayers, and poems during this beloved program that reminds us all to give thanks to God. With joyful hearts and grateful smiles, they brought the season of gratitude to life.
THREE-YEAR-OLD CELEBRATION
Our three-year-old preschool program was a beautiful celebration of their growth, bravery, and budding confidence throughout this year! These students proudly showcased their creativity and bravery through their artwork display and songs shared on stage.
END-OF-YEAR CELEBRATION
Students lifted their voices in praise with songs celebrating God’s Word, His goodness, and His love. The program closed with “We are Moving Up to Kindergarten!” — a joyful acknowledgment of how far they’ve come.
“They’ve grown in kindness. They’ve grown in courage. They have grown in their love of learning. But most of all, they’ve grown in their love for the Lord.”
By planting these seeds of faith into the hearts of our students, we are laying a foundation for them to one day ask Jesus to be their forever friend.
Rooted in Faith, Ready for the Future
As we close another year, we celebrate how our students have blossomed through love, learning, and faith. The journey doesn’t end here—these seeds of growth will continue to bloom.
“He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion.”
– Philippians 1:6

ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
Expected Student Outcomes (ESOs) are vital because they give us a clear purpose: to prepare students who are academically competent, spiritually mature, morally grounded, and socially responsible. These outcomes reflect the mission of SBA to partner with families and churches in forming young people who will impact the world for Christ.
Engaged Learners
We encourage students to see learning as a form of worship and stewardship of their God-given gifts. By fostering curiosity and critical thinking, our school equips students to engage with the world thoughtfully and purposefully, rooted in truth.
“Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men.” – Colossians 3:23
Effective Communicators
In a world filled with noise and misinformation, we are called to speak truth with grace and clarity. Teaching students to communicate effectively—through writing, speaking, listening, and digital media—equips them to be salt and light in every sphere of influence.
“Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt...” – Colossians 4:6

Faithful Disciples
Spiritual formation is the heart of education at Silverdale. ESOs focused on discipleship help students grow in their relationship with Christ, develop a biblical worldview, and live out their faith with integrity and purpose.
“Go and make disciples of all nations... teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.” – Matthew 28:19–20
Servant Leaders
Leadership in the Christian sense is grounded in humility and service, modeled by Christ. By developing servant leaders, Silverdale prepares students to lead with compassion, justice, and vision in their communities and beyond.
“Whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant...” – Matthew 20:26
The Heart of This Mission
Childhood is a critical and irreplaceable stage of life. It is a time for wonder, growth, and discovery—a period where children should be free to play, learn, and explore. Charlotte Mason emphasized preserving childhood through natural curiosity and love for learning by nurturing their minds and hearts, building good habits, and engaging with the world through nature and good books.
Silverdale students continue to excel academically, with overall standardized test scores placing our school in the top 17% of schools nationwide.

MIDDLE SCHOOL
GET REAL DAY
We had a spiritual emphasis day with our 6–8th grade students called Get Real with Billy Lord and Scott Davis. Students were guided to get real with themselves, with others, and with God. There were five intense sessions where they participated in interactive worship music, games, humor, and a deep dive into God’s Word. We had 21 students come to a saving faith in Christ and 28 students rededicated themselves to Him. During a Chapel service, six students were baptized before their peers, and we are so grateful for God's goodness and mercy for this event!
CAMP VESPER POINT & FORT BLUFF
Our middle school begins each year with a retreat. Our 6th and 7th grade students went to Camp Vesper Point, and our 8th graders went to Camp Fort Bluff in Dayton, TN. The days are spent swimming, canoeing, playing outdoor games, enjoying good food, and being challenged spiritually. It’s a great way for our students to get to know their new teachers and classmates as they start the school year.

BEYOND THE CLASSROOM DAYS
Although our students continue to excel academically, with overall standardized test scores placing Silverdale in the top 17% of schools nationwide, we set aside some half days to have Beyond the Classroom enrichment. Students were able to select their top choices from a menu of options planned by our teachers. Around the campus, middle schoolers were joining in on a book club, learning to crochet, nature journaling, playing Ultimate Frisbee, crafting, mountain biking, and cooking! Days like Beyond the Classroom are just one of the ways that we want to cultivate our students to be lifelong learners.

CHRISTMAS KARAOKE & REINDEER GAMES
A new middle school tradition at the end of the first semester is Christmas karaoke. After finishing their first exam, students gathered in the Creekside Theatre for a fun-filled event where both students and teachers performed festive Christmas songs and played games together. The Student Council-led celebration was a huge success!
J-TERM TRIPS
Some students traveled out of town, while others stayed local to explore all our city has to offer. During J-Term, middle schoolers could be found becoming CPR certified, sharpening their culinary skills, paddling through the Florida springs to observe wildlife like manatees, adventuring through Chattanooga on high ropes courses and rock walls, discovering the ins and outs of animal care at Busch Gardens camp, and so much more!
STUDENT/FACULTY GAMES
During final exam week each year, our Student Council spearheads our student/faculty game. This year, our faculty took on our students on the volleyball court. The students created teams that played each other for the chance to compete against the faculty team. Our teachers came out on top this year!
VETERANS DAY
We take pride in instilling patriotism in students. Each year, we honor the veterans in the Silverdale community through a special Veterans Day program. During this annual celebration, students speak, perform, and personally thank our veterans for their service and sacrifice.
WREATHS ACROSS CHATTANOOGA
SBA is proud to support the Wreaths Across Chattanooga initiative, which seeks to place a wreath on every grave in the Chattanooga National Cemetery. This effort allows us to remember all Chattanooga-area veterans who served our country, honor the lives of those who made the ultimate sacrifice, and teach our students the true value of freedom and the cost at which it is preserved.
One of our 8th grade students designed a special wreath, which was sold within the SBA community, raising nearly $1,800 in support of this meaningful cause.

HIGH SCHOOL
The 2024–2025 school year was one of growth, leadership, and transformation for our high school. Our senior class of 101 students set the tone by modeling servant leadership and spiritual depth, leaving a legacy that will impact Silverdale for years to come.
One of the defining moments of the year was the senior trip to Greece, where students experienced a powerful spiritual transformation, including the baptism of one of their classmates in the Aegean Sea. Back on campus, seniors poured into their peers through discipleship, leading Bible studies, and mentoring underclassmen.
The senior girls also launched a new program, Sisterhood, creating smaller discipleship groups to encourage deeper connection and growth among students. Their desire to leave SBA better than they found it was evident in both their faith and their leadership.

| Silverdale Baptist Academy

Students also achieved a 100% passing rate in AP Biology, AP Calculus, and AP U.S. History. Notably, one of our graduates earned scores of 3 or higher on five different AP exams, a remarkable individual achievement that reflects the dedication and strength of this class.
This senior class exemplified excellence—in academics, in leadership, and in faith. Their commitment to Christ, to one another, and to SBA has left a lasting mark on our school community.

INSTRUCTIONAL SUPPORT
During the month of March, SBA proudly celebrated Neurodiversity, recognizing and honoring the unique strengths and abilities of all learners. A highlight of the month was a visit from Zion Redington, a member of the USA Wheelchair Rugby Team. Zion shared his powerful testimony of faith and perseverance, speaking about how he has applied the principle of diligence to overcome the challenges of living with a disability. Elementary, Middle, and High School students attended separate Chapel programs to hear his inspiring story and witness God’s power at work in his life.
The Instructional Support team also organized a series of special events and chapel programs for our youngest learners in Preschool. Guest author Morgan Kawakami, joined by her family, visited campus to read her book, I Have Something Extra, a book that celebrates differences and inclusion. Throughout the month, our High School IMPACT students also engaged with younger classes, reading books that highlight the beauty of our individual differences.
The High School IMPACT class marked the completion of another successful year in the Work-Based Learning Program. Students gained valuable experience through a combination of school-based tasks and off-campus learning opportunities. Since August, they have partnered with the church to clean and maintain the on-campus mission house, toured the Hamilton County 911 Center and the Collegedale Library, visited Chattanooga State and Lipscomb University, and served in the monthly Snack Pack Ministry at East Brainerd Church of Christ.

We are especially proud to celebrate the Class of 2025, which includes three IMPACT program students. Each of these students has been accepted into a post-secondary program designed for young adults with disabilities. Their achievements are a testament to the strength and impact of SBA’s Work-Based Learning initiative and the supportive community that surrounds them.
Eleven students receiving Occupational Therapy were among the Most Improved Students in Elementary School. The carryover is happening in the classroom, and the teachers can see their hard work paying off!

SILVERDALE
ONLINE ACADEMY
Silverdale Online Academy continues to provide students with unique opportunities to expand their learning beyond the classroom. Many of our high school students choose to enroll in online courses to explore new areas of interest or to fulfill graduation requirements in a flexible way. Students especially enjoy the chance to take courses that aren’t available on campus, such as the following:
Graphic Design
Introduction to Social Media
American Sign Language (our most popular course)
These courses allow students to pursue their passions, strengthen their skills, and prepare for the future with even greater confidence.
I'm glad SOA online courses are offered to us because it let me choose to take a foreign language that isn't offered in the building. My cousin is deaf, so learning ASL has been a big help in communicating with him.
— MADDOX MASON, STUDENT
Enrollment:
275 students K-12 (60% increase)
We are expecting an increase of enrollment each year, as the homeschool community continues to hear about the amazing services the umbrella provides for our families, including some new additions:
Picture day and student ID for students to attend SBA home games
Pre-ACT administration on campus
Our students continue to be invited to participate in after-school BOOST classes for our elementary students and SOAR for our high school and middle school students.
All students are encouraged to pursue private music lessons with our Fine Arts Conservatory or try out for the His Company dance group.
Silverdale Homeschool has been a blessing for us! Sarah met with me personally, helped me with my curriculum decisions, and gave me encouragement as I needed it. My daughter was allowed to attend SBA sporting events for free with her student ID and was able to take the PreACT on campus.

A Merry Little Art Show
In December, SBA’s Visual Art students had the special opportunity to present their work at A Merry Little Art Show, an auction held in the Black Box Theater. Families and Friends of the Arts gathered to admire a collection of Christmas-themed pieces thoughtfully created by our students throughout the semester. The event was a meaningful celebration of their creativity and dedication.
Following the art show, our upper school Performing and Literary Arts students took the stage for our annual Christmas concert, A Silverdale Christmas. This year’s theme, “Joy to the World,” featured a narrative woven together by student readers. Performances by the band, choir, and dance programs beautifully ushered the audience into the spirit of the season, showcasing the incredible talent and collaboration of our students.
Inaugural Arts Fest
In March, Silverdale’s Arts Department proudly hosted the First Annual Arts Fest—a vibrant, campus-wide celebration of creativity, talent, and community. This exciting new tradition brought together students and teachers from preschool to high school to showcase the full spectrum of the Arts at Silverdale. Visitors strolled through stunning displays of visual artwork, listened to literary readings, viewed student-produced videos, and enjoyed live performances from our music, dance, and theater students at various venues across campus.
The event wasn’t just a showcase—it was an immersive experience that reflected the passion, dedication, and creativity of our students and faculty. Arts Fest was a huge success and a joyful reminder of the power of the arts to inspire, connect, and celebrate the unique gifts of every student for God’s glory!

Singin’ in the Rain
This year’s spring musical, Singin’ in the Rain, was a show-stopping success that dazzled audiences and highlighted the incredible talent of our students. One of the most memorable moments of the production was the iconic rain scene, complete with real on-stage rainfall that left the audience in awe and earned SBA its first-ever Adjudicators' Choice Award for Outstanding Special Effect at the Jewel Awards.
The musical was a true collaborative effort, bringing together students from across all areas of the Arts. Actors lit up the stage, student musicians in the orchestra helped bring the score to life, visual art students showcased themed artwork in the lobby, and tech crew members worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make the magic happen. From start to finish, Singin’ in the Rain was a joyful celebration of creativity, and teamwork.

OUTDOOR EDUCATION HIGHLIGHTS

Camp Seahawk
The SOAR Staff led our 5th grade in the first annual Camp Seahawk at Harrison Bay State Park. Students spent the day rotating through stations such as fishing, kayaking, mountain biking, survival skills, and more. Despite the continuous downpour of rain, these Seahawks were all smiles as they embraced the freedom of wet, muddy activities.

Seed Survivor
Nutrien’s Seed Survivor mobile classroom was back on campus this fall, giving our youngest students the opportunity to explore the interactive trailer and discover the origins of their food. They engaged in hands-on games and learned about soil, factors influencing crop growth, and the plant life cycle. Each Seahawk also had the chance to plant a seed and take it home to nurture its growth.

Educational Signage
The campus riparian zone now features several new educational signs. Created by Mr. Buckler’s 8th grade Nature Study classes, the signs explain the restoration project for bank stabilization and even include a QR code that can be scanned to learn more details of the project. What an incredible example of student-led, project-based learning that also benefits the community through service!

Rock Climbing Unit
New this year, our 5th graders completed a rock climbing unit during their P.E. classes, led by the S.O.A.R. Rock Climbing head coach. Students learned essential climbing skills including safety procedures, equipment usage, and techniques to improve their climbs. After gearing up with this new knowledge, they put their skills to the test on SBA’s climbing wall. We hope to see some of these budding climbers on our middle school climbing team next season.

CAMPS OFFERED

Appealing to a wide range of interests for Preschool – 12th Grade
This summer at Silverdale, students had 59 incredible camps to choose from, with nearly 1,200 registrations! We were honored to be nominated for Best of the Best and thrilled to introduce a lineup of brand-new camps for 2025, including SOAR on the Water: An Intro to Paddle Sports, Space Explorers, 3-D & App Design, American Girl Dolls Summer Adventure, Preschool LEGO Creations, Camp Goodness and Grace, Holly Jolly Christmas in July, 6th Grade Boot Camp, and Freshman Boot Camp.
Campers loved our fun, colorful new camp t-shirts, and we were excited to welcome our new Assistant Director David Conrady to the team. This year also marked the launch of a meaningful new morning tradition—beginning each camp day with all-camp announcements, a short devotion, and prayer. Our Soccer and Cheer Camps even saw their largest attendance numbers to date. It’s been a season full of growth, fun, and God’s goodness—and we can’t wait for what’s next!

SILVERDALE PARENT ASSOCIATION

The Silverdale Parent Association (SPA) is so much more than a volunteer group — it is a living example of service, fellowship, and worship in action. Rooted in a desire to glorify the Father, SPA members pour out their time, talents, and hearts to bless our students, families, faculty, and staff.
From hosting cherished events like the Daddy-Daughter Dance to carrying on the beloved tradition of wrapping Christmas gifts for every member of our faculty and staff, SPA is present in both the big celebrations and the quiet moments of support. Whether it’s Copy Moms running papers for teachers, Homeroom Parents helping create classroom connection, or volunteers stepping up at major events, this group embodies the spirit of Philippians 2:4: “looking not only to their own interests, but also to the interests of others.”
SPA is a reminder that when parents and school join together in partnership, the whole community is strengthened. Their joyful service is not just a help to our programs — it is an offering of worship, showing our students what it means to live a life that puts Christ at the center.
We are deeply grateful for our SPA — for their prayers, their hands, and their hearts. Silverdale is better because of them.

FOREVER A SEAHAWK
Nearly 30 Silverdale alumni have chosen to return to the place that helped shape them — this time as staff members. From teachers and administrators to coaches, IT and facilities teams, and much more, these Seahawks continue to pour back into the Academy that once invested in them. Their presence is a powerful reminder that a Silverdale education extends far beyond graduation; it inspires a lifelong commitment to faith, service, and family.
"Silverdale changed my life for eternity. When I joined SBA as a 6th grader in 2000, I didn’t have a relationship with the Lord. However, thanks to the influence of my teachers, I accepted Jesus as my Savior by 8th Grade. Now, as I step into my own 2nd Grade classroom at SBA, I’m constantly reminded of the impact my teachers had on me, and I feel blessed to have the opportunity to do the same for my students."

Devin Elliott, Class of 2025
Devin Elliott, Class of 2025, is attending West Point for her post-secondary education. Throughout the summer, she participated in Beast, their six-week basic training program, in which cadets train by running, swimming, rucking, and learning weaponry, among other important skills. To mark the end of their Beast training, the cadets completed a 12-mile ruck march back to the Academy, where they were rewarded with the return of their cell phones after six weeks of only mail contact with family and friends. On this day in August, Devin was officially welcomed to the Corps of Cadets. Devin plans to study cybersecurity while at West Point in order to one day protect citizens from cyber attacks.
Devin challenged herself academically while at SBA, graduating with an honors diploma, accruing 13 dual enrollment college credit hours, and passing both AP tests she took. In addition to her academic record, she represented the Seahawks on the swim team and took Jiu Jitsu lessons outside of school. She and her best friend, Emma Waldoch, both reached the level of blue belt by their high school graduation.
During Devin’s time at SBA, she was influential in the band in a variety of ways. Serving as Percussion Captain, Devin regularly helped with the organization of the section, keeping instruments and gear in good working order, as well as regularly leading percussion sectional rehearsals for her peers. She also served as a student aide in Band, assisting with middle school band classes and giving of her time to help train the next generation of students. Devin consistently pushed herself to be the best she could be in musical settings by taking private lessons outside of school each semester, auditioning for the East Tennessee Schools Band & Orchestra clinic, participating in multiple Honor Band events at local universities, and playing as one of only a few students participating in the pit orchestra for our spring musicals. Her dedication to excellence in every arena has been further demonstrated in her recent audition and appointment to the West Point Marching Band Drumline.
While impressive, Devin’s legacy expands beyond her academic, athletic, and musical accomplishments. She was well known for her smile and her consistent encouragement to all within our community. She has been known to ask, “How’s your day going?” or “How can I pray for you?” And she always follows up on any prayer requests she receives to see how God is working. She’s an excellent big sister, a loyal friend, and a diligent student. West Point is lucky to have her, and we’re so proud she’s forever a part of our Seahawk alumni family.

Bricen Vereen, Class of 2018
After graduating from Silverdale, Bricen began film school at Lee University before transferring to UTC to study business. During his time in Chattanooga, he built and ran a business for several years, even earning the honor of being voted Chattanooga’s Best of the Best Videographer. After meeting his wife, Grace, the couple moved to her hometown of Nashville. Two months after relocating, God opened doors and provided connections that allowed Bricen to grow his business.
Today, Bricen works full-time in tour marketing and artist development media, while also filming for multiple television shows on the Outdoor Channel. His work spans content creation, production, social media management, and videography—all areas where he is able to combine his love for country music and the outdoors.
“From content, production, and social media management to filming for the outdoor channel, I can’t help but trace all of this back to the people who invested in me at Silverdale! So many people referred me to others because of the relationship I was able to build while I was at Silverdale. Silverdale gave me the tools to be able to pursue this calling — from drama class teaching me how to direct, to the outdoor education class teaching me how to truly love God’s creation. I’m truly proud to be able to say I’m a Silverdale alumnus!”

Emma Dale, Class of 2018
After graduating from SBA, Emma Dale went on to earn a degree in Business Management from the UTC in 2022 through the Gary W. Rollins College of Business. Since then, she has been serving in the not-for-profit world, finding the work both meaningful and rewarding. Today, Emma works as the Marketing Events Coordinator at Erlanger, the region’s only Level I Trauma Center, where she plans and executes events that bring people together to make a difference in the community.
Emma often reflects on how her time at SBA laid a strong foundation in her faith. That strong foundation continues to guide her when challenges arise in both work and life. This mindset has helped her stay grounded, make thoughtful decisions, and press forward with the desire to always “leave any place better than you found it.”
“Live your faith boldly by remembering that your worth and identity are rooted in Christ, not in the world’s approval. Let your actions and words reflect His love, even when it’s unpopular or uncomfortable. Surround yourself with a community that strengthens your walk with God, and don’t be afraid to stand apart when truth requires it. Finally, trust that God has equipped you for every challenge ahead — shine His light with courage and joy wherever you go.”

SEPTEMBER 20, 2024
What a GRAND day it was at Silverdale for our annual Grandparents' Day Parade! One of our most beloved traditions returned with special moments as we welcomed grandparents from near and far to celebrate the unique and powerful bond they share with their grandchildren.
Grandparents were invited to join us for a special time of worship, filling the room with a beautiful spirit of faith and family. After worship, they had the opportunity to step into their grandchild’s world by visiting classrooms, meeting teachers, and getting a glimpse into daily life at SBA. These moments of connection made the day truly unforgettable for students and grandparents alike.
And, of course, the creativity did not disappoint! Our car line was transformed into a colorful display of love and imagination. Grandparents went all out, decorating their vehicles with streamers, balloons, themed elements, stuffed animals, and cherished photos of their grandchildren. For the first time ever, we added a fun twist by introducing awards for Most School Spirit, Most Creative, and Best All Around.

We are incredibly grateful to every grandparent who joined us. Your presence, encouragement, and lasting impact on our students is a gift we treasure. Grandparents' Day continues to be a beautiful reminder of how faith and love are passed from one generation to the next—and how truly blessed we are to be part of this community.

March

On a night filled with wonder and anticipation, the Silverdale community gathered at The Westin for our annual Gala, this year themed “Wonderland.”
From the very first step through the whimsical keyhole entrance to meeting our very own Mad Hatters and delighting in the magical decor, the evening transported guests into a world of imagination and celebration.
But beyond the decor and excitement, the Gala served its true purpose: to unite our community around the mission of equipping students to impact the world for Christ. By God’s faithfulness and the incredible generosity of our families, friends, and partners, we are thrilled to share that this year’s Gala was our largest fundraising event to date — raising over $250,000 in a single evening!
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our Gala Chairs, The Curtis family, whose dedication and creativity made this event unforgettable, as well as to all of our generous sponsors and volunteers who gave their time, talent, and resources to bring this night to life.
This evening reminded us that when our community comes together, God does more than we could ask or imagine (Ephesians 3:20).

Over $250,000 raised
for funding our Need–Based Financial Aid Fund. All for His Glory!
