United Sports Academy The UNITED SPORTS ACADEMY brings a new and innovative look to the most popular sport on the planet. Whether you call it soccer, football, futbol, or futebol, the love of the game motivates everyone to aspire to new levels of skill and overall enjoyment of the game. UNITED SPORTS ACADEMY aims to fuel the desire to improve boys and girls technically and physically by uniting the two disciplines with fun and creativity to produce the all round soccer experience. Overall, if players come to the sessions intending to get the most out of them, then it is only a matter of time before they see the results. Players will be assessed using standardised National Soccer Tests focusing on the technical aspects of the game. These will be worked into the term as well as tournaments and events to show off what they have learnt.
Our Philosophy Soccer Stars encourage children to play in a way that instead of prioritizing winning, we instead develop skilled and creative players who can learn, develop and understand the game by using there own creativity. Teach the players the correct technique and the importance of understanding the principles of the game, allowing them to experiment and assess their own decisions from the mistakes they make. This allows the individual ownership of a thought, idea or practical execution of a skill. Feedbacks not focused on criticizing a player’s decision, but on assisting a player evaluate their own decision and then ensuring they learn from it. We provide a world class environment that encourages players to learn and develop their skills both on and off the playing field, creating a positive learning environment where the player can progress their skills on a technical, physical, mental and social basis.
Technical Player will be taught the fundamental techniques of passing short and long, receiving and control techniques, finishing, defending, heading and the importance of changing the pace and direction of themselves and the play at a given moment. We will further enhance the players understanding of why, when and where they use these techniques in a SSG leading up to 11 V 11 principles. All activity to be delivered will be done so taking into consideration the developmental age of the players.
Physical Players will learn how to train their bodies specifically to the demands of the game. Speed, agility, strength, stamina and skill will be developed to allow the players to achieve their optimal level of performance. Players will also learn about the nutritional benefits of fuelling their bodies correctly off the field, allowing them the best opportunity to reach optimal levels on it.
Mental Develop a mentality that allows the player to express themselves in a secure environment without fear of failure. They will be encouraged to adopt a mental approach that lets them play football creatively without any external constraints. Through re defining a ‘winning’ culture Soccer Stars will allow the players to achieve success as a team but also as an individual.
