5 mm cardboard cut after the pattern grid drawn with a pencil holes made with a drill

pierce holes along the curved edge; 1 cm from edge; 1 cm spacing cut a 3 cm wide piece of a sponge camping mattress sew on the curved edge according to instruction illustrations

wrap an elastic band a few times around the reed; 5 cm from the end pull the elastic band + reed down through the hole wrap the elastic around the reed under the cardboard until tight
