Be maldos namų, Šulhoife buvo eksdivizinių namų, taip pat įrengtas bendrojo naudojimo vandens čiaupas, prijungtas prie Vingrių šaltinio vandentiekio, žydų ritualinė pirtis (mikva) ir paprasta pirtis, o kiek atokiau – turbūt vienas pirmųjų viešųjų tualetų Vilniuje.
carriers and loggers, cap-makers and tanners, bakers and sellers, chimney-sweepers and water carriers, masons and painters, shoemakers and tailors, butchers and knitters had their own houses of prayer. In almost all the houses of prayer there were Talmud and Kabbalah study fraternities, cheders and Talmud-thorah (religious schools for the teaching of poor boys), and kloyzn – were not only a place for prayer but also a place where Torah, Talmud or other religious literature was studied, where students had discussions with each other or with rabbis, who also consulted on various questions. Synagogues and kloyzn were also community gathering places. The fact that there were about 130 synagogues in Vilnius is not a distortion, but it should not be understood directly. These were not 130 individual buildings, but more than a hundred kloyz belonging to people of different occupations or guilds, sometimes located in a separate building, but more often in one or more rooms or in the annexe of a house. In addition to the house of prayer, the Schulhoyf contained some exdivision houses, as well as a general-usage water tap connected to the Vingrių source of the water supply, a Jewish ritual bath (mikveh) and a simple bath, and a little further – perhaps one of the first public toilets in Vilnius.
