Staci Garcia
February Featured Agent of the Month is Staci Lyn Garcia. In the first week of 2023, Staci closed $3,210,000 by representing a buyer and a seller in two unrelated real estate transactions.
“It was a great way to begin a new year!” said Staci. “It’s my seventh year in real estate and no two days are ever the same.”
Staci Garcia is a second-generation real estate agent following in the footsteps of her mom, Barbara Weiner, who worked on-site at Boca West Country Club from 1986 to 2006.
Even though Staci lived in Boca Raton since 1986 and knew Boca better than anyone else, Staci never wanted to be a real estate agent because she saw how hard her mom worked around the clock and even though she made a boatload of money for a single parent, she was incredibly burned out by the customers.
In 2008, Staci knew Matthew as a good friend (both were the same age —50–
and both are University of Maryland Terps) and awesome real estate agent. Staci referred so many customers to Matthew that he said she would have made A LOT of money if she had her license.
So, in 2016, Staci got her real estate license and went from referring customers to Matthew to actually listing her first house on the day she passed her real estate state exam. Over the last seven years, all of Staci’s customers have been friends, neighbors, and referrals to her from her self-built social sphere of influence.
She credits her own success to Matthew Maschler for being her cheerleader and to Team Awesome (The Real Estate Finder Team) for helping her every step of the way.
Staci is the mom three sons: Remy (19), Reese (18) and Rayden (16.5) Garcia. She also has two rescue husky mixes, Bolt and Laila, and a cat named Nayna, who walked in her house in 2016 and never left. Agents and Owners spend so much time preparing a house for sale, taking pictures, marketing the property, and when someone comes along and likes the house enough to make an offer, THAT is someone you want to respond to. To court. To TRY to make a deal with. Would you rather that no offer was made?
I can't tell you how many times I show a house to someone a second, third or even fourth time, only to result in no offer being made. Here you have an offer, and while the price is less than you wanted, what about the other terms? If the other terms work for you, let me, as your broker, do what you are paying me for and NEGOTIATE. This is a Buyer who likes your house and if you make a counter offer you might be surprised at what the result would be. The worst that happens is we can not get this Buyer under contract, but you did not lose anything by trying.
