ST-LUC St-Luc offers an unobstructed view over the Val d’Anniviers and its 4,000 metre peaks, including the famous Matterhorn. Perched on the valley slope, the village enjoys particularly high levels of sunshine. St-Luc is a family-friendly resort and, as the home of the François-Xavier Bagnoud Observatory, the Planetarium and the Planets Trail, it is appropriately known as “the star resort”. Those who enjoy wildlife and outdoor activities will find plenty to do, as St-Luc has a variety of winter activites, skiing area that links the resort with Chandolin, and winter hiking and snowshoeing trails.
CHaNDOLIN Chandolin is one of the highest villages in Europe that are inhabited all year round. It gets a lot of sunshine and its height means it catches the last rays in the evenings. Long the favourite destination of some illustrious visitors, Chandolin has welcomed such well-known figures as Ella Maillart, René-Pierre, Edmond and Corinna Bille, Konrad Adenauer, Ferdinand von Zeppelin and Edouard Ravel. It is the ideal destination for those seeking peace and quiet and to recharge their batteries at an altitude of 2,000 metre.

GRIMeNTZ A shining example of a village typical of the region, Grimentz is a cultural jewel. Wandering its streets and alleyways with their colourful geraniums, you can’t help being plunged into the olden days. Grimentz will share its heritage without fuss through tours, discussions, even chance meetings. Grimentz has a wealth of natural and cultural resources and has put them to good use, offering its guests a range of varied activities: The ski area ranges up to 3,000 metres in the winter. The Moiry Glacier, a fun park, touring options, crosscountry ski tracks, a toboggan run and winter hiking trails are additional popular activities.
ZINaL Situated at the end of the Val d’Anniviers, in a place of calm and serenity, Zinal is a kind of “ultimate destination”. In those magical places where you can go no further, there is a paradoxical feeling that this is where everything begins; a little like landing in another world. At the foot of the highest mountains of the Alps, a small village has retained the power that propels toward the heights, to make us look up in admiration.
