The Smotrich Residence was a project that I did for my friend Irina’s parents. They had just purchased a parcel of land in Salem, CT and some blueprints of an scale residence. They then had the builder/contractor make slight alterations to the layout of the plan. They approached me by wanting to liven-up the exterior facade of the proposed home. They were unhappy by the complete whiteness of the current proposal and wanted to add some color as well as some play with multiple materials.
