Keep your mind and body active and engaged as we enrich the lives of seniors aged 75+! All programs are open to Linda & Gerald Marsden Senior Passport holders and SJJCC members.

What We Offer

Early stage and social adult day programs for seniors 60+ who are frail and memory impaired, and programs for those in their 30s, 40s, and 50s with Young Onset dementia including frontaltemporal degeneration and Alzheimer’s. All programs require an assessment. Transportation available.

SOCIAL ADULT DAY PROGRAMS + SERVICES

Programs are funded by Nassau County Office for the Aging through the New York State Office for the Aging and the U.S. Administration on Aging. Partial funding is provided by the Friendship Circle Luncheon, A Yellow Rose Society and private donations.

YOUNG-ONSET ADULT DAY PROGRAM

Enjoy physical, intellectual, and social stimulation in our Let’s Do Lunch program for individuals in their 40s, 50s, and 60s with Young Onset dementia, including frontaltemporal degeneration. Specifically designed for younger individuals, we offer basketball, support groups, in-studio exercise, music, dancing, hot kosher lunch, and more.

Early Stage Memory Loss Program

For individuals in early stages of dementia, GEMS I offers a unique combination of cutting-edge physical and memory retraining exercises created for those aware of their diagnosis to foster socialization in a welcoming and inclusive environment. Join us on engaging Culture + Support community outings to local landmarks and attractions like Ben’s Kosher Deli, The Botanical Gardens, and much more! Scholarship Fund for GEMS I is made possible in part through a legacy provided by Alice Gross in memory of Abe Gross. Cultural Outings made possible with the support from the Sephardic Foundation on Aging.

OLDER ONSET ADULT DAY PROGRAM

The Denise & Robert Silverberg Family Friendship Circle and GEMS II programs provide a structured, stimulating environment that encourages social, cognitive, and physical stimulation through group activities for those with memory or functional impairment as a result of Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, stroke, etc. As the disease progresses, our programs are equipped to meet each individual’s needs. CARE PARTNER CONSULTATIONS

Our licensed social workers are here to help you navigate the complexities of caregiving by providing assistance with long-term care planning needs, offering problem-solving strategies, and providing community resources.

CARE PARTNER DINNERS

For those with a loved one diagnosed with Alzheimer’s or another neurodegenerative illness, our quarterly dinners allow you to receive peer support, encourage companionship, and share resources.
