Volunteer Role: Events Programming & Delivery Volunteer Support Person

Role Purpose

To assist in the development and delivery of the Side Gallery & Cinema events programme.

Specific Tasks

Events development and implementation as part of a broader events programming team. Contributing ideas and taking forward specific events through to fruition. Will include collaboration with external organisations & individuals plus audience research.

Skills and Qualities Needed

Volunteers will come from a wide range of backgrounds and will have many different qualities and skills. Essential qualities for this role are: Creativity, ability to work as part of a team but also independently, good communication skills, highly organised, welcoming and friendly manner. Desired: An interest in documentary photography and/or film.

Commitment

Flexible. Daytime, evenings and weekends.

Support and Training

The volunteer will be given regular one to one guidance and support. During this support any relevant training that may be required will be identified and the volunteer will be offered suitable training to meet their need.
