From: Mommy

Dear Asha,

On the first of July, 2009, I found out that I was pregnant with you. At first I was more confused and didn’t know what to do. Thinking about having a baby was out of the question for me. Your grandmother had a different idea which made sense so I decided to bring you into this world. Everything the doctors and the nurses told me to do, I did. I went to every fetal check up to make sure you were ok. Grammy was always there for you and I every step of the way. Daddy would always send money for me to buy what I felt like eating or what I wanted. Aunties had my back cheering me up and playing with you inside my belly. Every time I felt you move inside me was a blessing. November 29, 2009 was the happiest, most joyful and exciting day of my life. After rolling you up to me at my bedside there was a connection and love at first sight. I looked at you for hours before holding you in my arms and after I did hold you, I didn’t want to let you go. Mommy loves you with all of her heart and would give it all for you to have a good and successful life. You are my world, my everything; mommy’s little angel. I thank the Lord for you every day of my life. I love you! No one will ever take your place in my heart.

Love Ya, Baby Mommy

Order of Service, By the Grace of God

Procession of Family | The Youth Revival Center Praise Team

Procession of Ministers | “Pass Me Not Oh Gentle Saviour”

Pass me not, O gentle Savior, hear my humble cry; while on others thou art calling, do not pass me by.

Refrain:

Savior, Savior, hear my humble cry; while on others thou art calling, do not pass me by.

Let me at thy throne of mercy find a sweet relief, kneeling there in deep contrition; help my unbelief.

Trusting only in thy merit, would I seek thy face; heal my wounded, broken spirit, save me by thy grace.

Thou the spring of all my comfort, more than life to me, whom have I on earth beside thee? Whom in heaven but thee?

Call To Worship | Bishop Clarence N. Williams

1. O come, let us sing unto the Lord, let us make a joyful noise to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto Him with psalms. Psalms 95:1-2

2. O come, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before the Lord our Maker. For He is our God; and we are the people of pasture, and the sheep of His hand. Psalm 95: 6-7

3. Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye land. Serve the Lord with gladness; come before his presence with singing. Know ye that the Lord He is God; it is He that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are His people, and the sheep of His pasture. Psalms 100: 1-3

4. Enter into His gates with thanksgiving and into His courts with praise, be thankful unto him, and bless His name. For the Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting and His truth endureth to all generation. Psalms 100: 4-5

5. Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the heathen; I will be exalt in the earth. Psalms 46: 10

6. The hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshipers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth, for the Father seeketh such to worship Him. God is a Spirit, and they that worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth. John 4: 23-24

Congregation Hymn | “Heaven’s Jubilee”

Some glad morning, we shall see Jesus in the air

Coming after you and me, joy is ours to share What rejoicing, that will be, when the saints shall raise Headed for that jubilee, yonder in the skies.

(Chorus)

Oh what singing, Oh what shouting

On that happy morning, when we all shall rise

Oh what glory, hallelujah?

When we meet our blessed Saviour in the skies.

Seems that now I almost see all the sainted dead Raising for that jubilee, that is just ahead In the twinkling of an eye, changed with them to be All the living saints to fly to that jubilee

When with all the heavenly host, we’ll begin to sing, Singing in the Holy Ghost how the heav’ns ring Millions there will join the song, with them we shall be Praising Christ thru ages long, Heaven’s jubilee.

Prayer | Pastor Basil Strachan, Senior Pastor Mount Piscah Baptist Church

First Scripture Reading | Giah Smith

Job 14:1-22

1Man that is born of a woman is of few days and full of trouble. 2He cometh forth like a flower, and is cut down: he fleeth also as a shadow, and continueth not. 3And doth thou open thine eyes upon such an one, and bringest me into judgment with thee? 4Who can bring a clean thing out of an unclean? not one. 5Seeing his days are determined, the number of his months are with thee, thou hast appointed his bounds that he cannot pass; 6Turn from him, that he may rest, till he shall accomplish, as an hireling, his day. 7For there is hope of a tree, if it be cut down, that it will sprout again, and that the tender branch thereof will not cease. 8Though the root thereof wax old in the earth, and the stock thereof die in the ground; 9Yet through the scent of water it will bud, and bring forth boughs like a plant. 10But man dieth, and wasteth away: yea, man giveth up the ghost, and where is he? 11As the waters fail from the sea, and the flood decayeth and drieth up: 12So man lieth down, and riseth not: till the heavens be no more, they shall not awake, nor be raised out of their sleep. 13O that thou wouldest hide me in the grave, that thou wouldest keep me secret, until thy wrath be past, that thou wouldest appoint me a set time, and remember me! 14If a man die, shall he live again? all the days of my appointed time will I wait, till my change come. 15Thou shalt call, and I will answer thee: thou wilt have a desire to the work of thine hands. 16For now thou numberest my steps: dost thou not watch over my sin? 17My transgression is sealed up in a bag, and thou sewest up mine iniquity. 18And surely the mountains falling cometh to nought, and the rock is removed out of his place. 19The waters wear the stones: thou washest away the things which grow out of the dust of the earth; and thou destroyest the hope of man. 20Thou prevailest for ever against him, and he passeth: thou changest his countenance, and sendest him away. 21His sons come to honour, and he knoweth it not; and they are brought low, but he perceiveth it not of them. 22But his flesh upon him shall have pain, and his soul within him shall mourn.

As I Knew Her | Mrs. Gil Higgs (Aunt)

Selection | Curry Sisters

Second Scripture Reading | Phillipa Christie, 1 Corinthians 15:35-58

35But some man will say, How are the dead raised up? and with what body do they come? 36Thou fool, that which thou sowest is not quickened, except it die: 37And that which thou sowest, thou sowest not that body that shall be, but bare grain, it may chance of wheat, or of some other grain: 38But God giveth it a body as it hath pleased him, and to every seed his own body. 39All flesh is not the same flesh: but there is one kind of flesh of men, another flesh of beasts, another of fishes, and another of birds. 40There are also celestial bodies, and bodies terrestrial: but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another. 41There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars: for one star differeth from another star in glory. 42So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption: 43It is sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power: 44It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body. 45And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit. 46Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual. 47The first man is of the earth, earthy; the second man is the Lord from heaven. 48As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly. 49And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly. 50Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption. 51Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, 52In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. 53For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. 54So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. 55O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? 56The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. 57But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. 58Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.

Lift up your heads, ye saints, we’re told redemption draweth nigh

Ere long His glory we’ll behold as lightning from on high

We’ve toiled and prayed and waited, but soon His face we’ll see

And when He comes He’ll dry each tear, and we the bride shall see.

(Chorus)

His coming draweth nigh

We’ll meet Him in the sky

And go with Him to the marriage feast somewhere on high

Oh what a time t’will be

Our loved ones we will see

Far up above the tribulation by and by

Farewell gay world, our song shall be, we’ll sing thru the air

Above the rugged hills and trees his wondrous glory share

Lift up, look up, still watch and pray, tho’ fading be your eye

Nor think His coming be delayed, it surely draweth nigh.

Around the festive board that day we’ll raise a mighty shout

Like many waters of the sea, we’ll sing and dance about

The angels cannot sing the song, they stand with folded wings

And wonder at the praise prolong, we’ll crown him king of kings.

THE PREACHING OF THE WORD OF GOD

Bishop Clarence Williams, Senior Pastor Church of God of Prophecy, Seven Hills, Nassau, Bahamas and National Overseer of the Turks & Caicos Islands

“TEACH ME TO NUMBER MY DAYS”

Psalm 39

4 “Show me, LORD, my life’s end and the number of my days; let me know how fleeting my life is.

5 You have made my days a mere handbreadth; the span of my years is as nothing before you. Everyone is but a breath, even those who seem secure.”

Prayer for the Family

Invitation to Salvation | Bishop Clarence N. Williams

Dismissal Of The Body | Bishop Clarence N. Williams

Recessional Hymn | “It is Finished”

There’s a line that is drawn through the ages On that line stands an old rugged cross On that cross, a battle is raging To gain a man’s soul or it’s loss

(Chorus)

It is finished, the battle is over; it is finished, there’ll be no more war It is finished, the end of the conflict; it is finished and Jesus is Lord

On one side, march the forces of evil

All the demons, all the devils of hell On the other, the angels of glory And they meet on Golgotha’s hill

The Graveside Service

The Bishop Receives The Body

Pastoral Prayers

The earth shakes with the force of the conflict And the sun refuses to shine For there hangs God’s son, in the balance And then through the darkness he cries

Yet in my heart, the battle was still raging Not all prisoners of war had come home These were battlefields of my own making I didn’t know that the war had been won

Oh, but then I heard the king of the ages Had fought all the battles for me And that victory was mine for the claiming And now praise his name, I am free.

Hymn | “Glad Reunion Day”

There will be a happy meeting in heaven I know When we see the many loved ones we’ve known here below. Gather on the blessed hilltops with hearts all aglow. That will be a glad reunion day.

(Chorus)

Glad day, wonderful day, Glad day, oh glorious day; There with all the holy angels and loved ones to stay, That will be a glad reunion day.

There within the holy city we’ll sing and rejoice, Praising Christ the blessed Saviour with heart and with voice. Tell him how we came to love Him and make Him our choice. That will be a glad reunion day.

When we live a million years in that wonderful place Basking in the love of Jesus, beholding His face. It will seem but just a moment of praising His grace. That will be glad reunion day.

The Bishop shall say “By the grace of God, we release these white doves and balloons to rise heavenly thus symbolizing the release of her kindred spirit and fellowship in the hands of the Lord. Amen”

Solo | “Until Then”

Pastoral Scripture Readings COMMITTAL OF THE BODY | Bishop Clarence N. Williams, CA, PA.

“For as much as it has pleased Almighty God who acted in His own providence and wisdom to take out of this world the Soul of our Dear Sister Oneika Muriel Johnson, we the Lord’s servants and ministers commit his body to the ground: earth to earth, dust to dust and ashes to ashes. There to await the first and certain resurrection of our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed (are) the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them.”

Hymn | “It’s Alright Now”

There was a time I travelled a lonely sinful road; Beneath a heavy burden bending low;

But now all things are different, since Jesus took my load

It’s alright now, I’m His I know.

(Chorus)

It’s alright now, for I am in my Saviour’s care

It’s alright now; my Saviour hears and answers prayer

He’ll walk with me, (He’ll walk beside me)

Till I climb the heavenly stair,

And everything (And everything is alright now)

A’ down a lonely pathway, without a friend to guide, I walked in sin and sorrow all alone

‘Till Jesus came and found me, and drew me to His side; It’s alright now, for I’m His own.

No more in sin I wander, no more in darkness roam The Lord has placed my feet on higher ground; Each day new heights I’m gaining, my soul is nearing home, It’s alright now, I’m heaven bound.

Hymns

“It Is Well With My Soul”

When peace, like a river, attendeth my way, when sorrows like sea billows roll; whatever my lot, thou hast taught me to say, It is well, it is well with my soul.

(Chorus)

It is well, it is well, With my soul, with my soul, It is well; it is well, with my soul.

Though Satan should buffet, though trials should come, let this blest assurance control that Christ has regarded my helpless estate, And hath shed His own blood for my soul.

My sin, oh, the bliss of this glorious thought!

My sin, not in part but the whole, is nailed to the cross, and I bear it no more, praise the Lord, praise the Lord, O my soul!

And, Lord, haste the day when my faith shall be sight, the clouds be rolled back as a scroll; the trump shall resound, and the Lord shall descend

Even so, it is well with my soul

“Oh What A Sunrise”

God gives life and He takes it away He is the Potter and I am the clay

When I view the last sunset and cross over the sea

I know the sunrise will be waiting for me

(Chorus)

Oh what a sunrise it’s going to be

Death will lose its sting, the grave its victory

The silence will be broken

The storm clouds rolled away I hear the saints and angels singing

On our homecoming day

Time will come for the last goodbye

There’s a smile though tears dim the eye

Death will take us, but only to sleep

In the arms of my Saviour so sweet

In Remembrance of Oneika Muriel Johnson

Thursday 3rd May, 1990 at Princess Margret Hospital the Johnson Garden bloom with a beautiful flower whom they named Oneika after her Father and Muriel after her Grandmother. “Neika” as they affectionately called her, being the third child out of four siblings and the first of the newly weds everyone loved her, “yes she was the favorite”. Mummy, Daddy and Sisters knew this and being the type of person she was, the peace maker, and never wanted any of them to feel left out, Neika smiled her way through, making all believe that they were her favorite with her radiant smile.

She attended Nicholl’s Town Primary School and continued to North Andros High School where she was an Honour Rolle student maintaining a 3.00gpa graduating in class of 2007. In pursuit of a better way of life and to further her education she joined her sister Shenique in San Salvador to work in preparation for college at the Florida College of Natural Health. She began training with Ms. Isabelle Robert a trained massage therapist and instructor. Neika had hopes of joining the massage team at Club Med Resort this October 2011.

In November 2009 Nekia turned a new page in life when she gave birth to beautiful baby girl whom she loved and called “mummy’s Poonkan”. She always ceased the moment to love, train or nurture her Poonkan and she took pride and joy in doing so…but God had a plan.

On Sunday 14th August 2011 after telling mummy and kissing baby bye Nekia left for work along with her last sister not long after settling in at work and speaking with her eldest sister she went from time to eternity.

To My Beloved Sister

I’m trying to cope but I still don’t believe you’re gone. We have had lots of pleasurable and memorable times together which makes me smile during these hard and difficult times. However , for everyone who had the opportunity to meet my sister you can surely say that she was always pleasant, well groomed, humble and always smiling. Neka, I am so happy for our moments and times together. I will ensure that your dreams for ‘Asha are met and carried out 100%.

Your Sister, Shenique

My Big Sister

My big sister, you are the greatest there is, And amazing in everyway. I greatly admire and look up to you, Each and every day.

You are always showing how much you care, From your heart that is filled with love. You were a beautiful Angel, Sent from the heavens above.

I am the luckiest sister in the world, I have grown up next to you. We played and danced, laughed and had fun together, A great bond that has always stayed true.

Big sister you are always in my heart & thoughts, And I am always sending you a hug and kiss. You are my world and I love you so much,

Always and forever, Your little sister Rashnae.

Tribute to my Sister Oneika

On Sunday morning, August 14th a doctor pronounced you dead; eternal sleep. I tried to wake you screaming your name, I began to weep. But all my pleas you could not hear; If I could have only kept you near, Away from the voices of those who went before, Who beckoned you to come to that distant shore.

I always believed you would get more time with your beautiful daughter, For more love, laughs and play with her and her toys. But you didn’t get that chance, and you’re not here…

I miss all the ways you showed you cared, There were so many good moments we shared; Looking back on life’s assorted scenes, I realized you taught me what true love really means. You were my trusted confidant and best friend.

Why you Neka? Why are you taken from us so young? We were both robbed, Neka, of precious time, We should be sharing good times, and in years to come down the line The pleasure of watching Roasha learn and grow.

You had so much to live for, so much yet to do; It still feels unreal, being here without you. I know I have to somehow live with the pain; Of never seeing your smile or hearing your voice again.

I look at your smiling face in all my photos; Memories flood my mind, from the happy times you and I had; But now these things bring tears and make me sad; The time together went by in a wink, Life was not as long as we’d like to think.

Can you believe what others say of a better place, Where our beloved ones rest of God’s warm embrace? I should be happy, for you’re free of pain and sorrow. How can I then be so heart broken and selfishly cry, For you to return to me from that peaceful place where you lie!

Now look at your name on cold hard stone. That says nothing about the wonderful person you were. I only wish you were here so I could hug you and walk over to the beach, Like we always did with ‘Asha in hand; To a puddle by the sea and write our names in the sand, “Neka and Kay, Sisters 4 Life!”

I miss you so much Oneika, more than words could say, My precious memories of you are with me each and every day. Although I cry and stand grief stricken’ I will always love you hun!!

“WE

DIDN’T GET TO SAY GOODBYE”

We didn’t get to say goodbye

We’re devastated that you’re gone

We’d’ve done anything to keep you here with us

Right here where you belong.

We didn’t know that life would take

Such an unexpected path

That you’d be separated from us so soon

Heartbreaking reality we struggle to grasp

And bitter though our losing you had been And so profound is the pain that we bear

We’re sadder still at no chance for goodbye

No final expression of our deep love and care

Yet believing that you’re not too far away

That your spirit still lingers quite near We’ll say our goodbyes in our own words and our own thoughts

Trusting that each one you’ll hear

First, know that you are loved in the truest of ways

So deep that only our hearts can give expression

You’ll be forever surrounded by our love

For we’re sending it straight up to heaven

Please know that you’ll be cherished by each one of us

For your example and kindness we’ll treasure.

We understand now how your life was a gift That was meant to bless us forever

And though we shall miss you terribly

We want your spirit to be free

Free to enjoy all the wonders of heaven

Not bound to us in our grief.

So watch over us with your happiness from heaven

Your Godparents, Rai and Pamela Budhu

“Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed,” says the LORD, who has compassion on you.

Isaiah 54:10

One thing I ask of the LORD, this is what I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the LORD and to seek him in his temple. For in the day of trouble he will keep me safe in his dwelling; he will hide me in the shelter of his tabernacle and set me high upon a rock.

Psalm 27:4-5

miss the free-spirited, peace loving, joyous individual that was Oneika Johnson.

Neika was a warm and caring family member and friend. She meant so much to so many and we have been deeply touched and profoundly moved by the outpouring of love and affection that has come from family, friends and associates from around the world. We appreciate you for who you are and what you have given.

Your kind thoughts and expressions of love have helped to strengthen us during this time of challenge and transition. We ask that you keep our family in your thoughts and prayers as we continue the healing process.

May God bless and keep each of you in His perfect peace.
