BETON HOUSE PARK HILL Beton House, Park Hill is the development of Grade II-listed public housing, built between 1957 and 1961, was transformed into a combination of private and student housing. Whittam Cox Architects has completed student housing at Béton House, the latest phase of the rebirth of Brutalist Park Hill Estate in Shefeld, England. When the complex was redeveloped, the architect recognized the potential of its citizens and responded to the city's needs for bespoke student accommodation. A proper image was needed for Park Hill to succeed as a restored community and location. Architects have added their own contemporary additions to bring new life and personal identities to the building and encourage diverse communities. The complex provides approximately 350 student rooms and a shared living space with an innovative three-stor y "townhouse" model, arranged in a unique format following the concept of the ‘streets in the sky’, creating a multigenerational housing for living, working and playing.
