INTRODUCTION

A magnificent Grade II listed building with a rich history and spacious, elegant rooms, Shoreditch Town Hall is the perfect venue to host your wedding or civil partnership. Our experienced events team know how important your big day is, and can help you pick the package that’s right for you.

We offer all-inclusive wedding ceremony and reception packages in partnership with Cherelle Joseph, founder of Perfectly Planned 4 You. This package offers exclusive use of a selection of our stunning spaces, including the grand Assembly Hall, the historic Council Chamber, and all of our beautifully appointed Committee Rooms.

We also offer full- and halfday all-inclusive ceremonyonly packages in the Large Committee Room.

This space is the largest and brightest of our Committee Rooms, with a high buttressed ceiling and large windows along its full length giving the room plenty of natural daylight. With its distinctive period features and original Edwardian fireplace, it is ideal for an intimate ceremony for up to 70 guests.

The three adjoining Committee Rooms benefit from being situated in their own separate corridor on the first floor of the building, ensuring privacy and exclusivity for your ceremony.

FULL WEDDING PACKAGE

IN PARTNERSHIP WITH PERFECTLY PLANNED 4 YOU

In partnership with Cherelle Joseph, founder of Perfectly Planned 4 You, this comprehensive package is perfect for couples looking for a seamless and stylish celebration.

Included in this package:

• Full-day hire of the Assembly Hall, Council Chamber, Mayor’s Parlour, and Large, Medium & Small Committee Rooms.

• Spaces allocated for your Ceremony, Drinks Reception, Dinner/Dance, Cloakroom, Registrar, Dressing Room & Green Room.

• General stage wash and aesthetic lighting, festoon lighting around the balcony edge, sound system with handheld mic, and entrance hall uplighting with music.

• Access: 9am - 2am (music off and bar closed by midnight, guest departure by 12:30am, and all items removed by 2am) - option to extend past midnight for a fee.

• Venue Duty Manager, Security, on-site cleaner throughout, pre and post-event cleaning,

• Preferential rates with local hotels.

Total cost: £15,000 inc. VAT + Perfectly Planned 4 You costs

CEREMONY ONLY PACKAGE 1

FULL DAY HIRE

This popular package gives you a full day’s hire of our three interconnected Committee Rooms on the west side of the building. Included in this package:

• Room hire for the Large, Medium and Small Committee Rooms from 9am - 5pm

• Hire, setup and clear down of a PA system

• The use of our furniture

• An on-site Duty Manager

• Cleaning

You also have the freedom and flexibility to add bespoke touches to your ceremony by hiring-in and storing your own furniture, or including a drinks reception for your guests.

Total cost: £1,300 (+ VAT)

CEREMONY ONLY PACKAGE 2

HALF DAY HIRE

The half-day hire package gives you use of the Large, Medium and Small Committee rooms for four hours.

You can also give the ceremony your personal touch by adding your choice of decorations to the space.

Included in this package:

• Room hire of our three Committee Rooms for four hours.

• Hire, set up and clear down of a PA system

• The use of our furniture

• An on-site Duty Manager

• Cleaning

Total cost: £800 (+ VAT)

POST CEREMONY DRINKS PACKAGES

Add some extra sparkle to your big day with our custom drinks packages. Here we have outlined our standard champagne and prosseco packages.

DRINK OPTIONS

Friends and family can raise a glass to the happy couple in style with your choice of drink.

For 1 glass per person:

Prosecco or Rosé Prosecco:

£8 per head

Crémant d’Alsace: £9 per head

Champagne: £10.50 per head

For 2 glasses per person:

Prosecco or Rosé Prosecco:

£12 per head

Crémant d’Alsace: £14 per head

Champagne: £16.50 per head

EXTRAS INCLUDE

Drinks will be chilled and prepoured for you and your guests to enjoy after the ceremony.

One member of staff will be onhand to top up glasses.

The drinks area includes a beautifully dressed table for glasses and cooling equipment which is set up and cleared away at no extra charge.

Non-alcoholic alternatives, such as sparkling elderflower cordial or orange juice will also be available.

REGISTRAR

The ceremony registrar will need to be booked separately through the London Borough of Hackney Register Office and can be contacted on 020 8356 3000. They will conduct the ceremony and handle all of the legal requirements and have seperate costs.

HUMANIST CEREMONIES

In addition to licensed wedding ceremonies, we are delighted to host humanist ceremonies at Shoreditch Town Hall. These non-religious, highly personal ceremonies allow you to celebrate your love in a way that reflects your values and story. Whether you choose to have a friend officiate or hire a professional celebrant, our stunning spaces provide the perfect setting for a meaningful and memorable occasion.

FINAL NOTES

THE LEGAL BIT

Here are the terms of our wedding license we will need to adhere to during your ceremony hire:

• No food or drink, including water or soft drinks, are permitted in the ceremony space one hour prior to and during the ceremony.

• There must be no religious nature to the ceremony, including no religious text readings or any form of worship.

• The couple must meet with the registrars prior to the ceremony for an interview, either together or separately.

ACCESS

We have an external and internal passenger lift for any guests with access requirements. From April 2025 onwards, our external lift with be replaced by a ramp.

The external lift takes passengers from street level to our lobby on our ground floor level, and the internal lift takes passengers from the ground floor to the first floor, where guests can exit just outside the ceremony spaces and the Assembly Hall.

Unfortunately the Committee Rooms do not have goods lift access, so all hired furniture and any decorations must be carried up the stairs.
