Our favorite hikes in the Greater Salt Lake City Area

SUSPENSION BRIDGE IN BEAR CANYON A short and easy 2.3-mile hike through beautiful scenery and over a suspension bridge that overlooks the Salt Lake Valley below.

DONUT FALLS IN BIG COTTONWOOD CANYON Best hiked during the spring, summer, or fall, Donut Falls is a 3.3mile moderate hike with a steep incline and a rocky scramble at the top.

SILVER LAKE LOOP IN BIG COTTONWOOD CANYON Located at the top of Big Cottonwood Canyon near Brighton Ski Resort, the Silver Lake Loop is an easy and beautiful 0.9-mile loop hike around a pristine lake and is great for spotting wildlife.

NEFF’S CANYON LOOP This is an easy 1.3-mile loop through the gorgeous Neff’s canyon, which takes you along a peaceful river. It’s a great trail for hiking and running in the summer, or snowshoeing and cross-country skiing in the winter!

MILLCREEK PIPELINE TRAIL IN MILLCREEK CANYON This is a moderate 13.3-mile trail that is fairly shaded and offers fantastic views of the Salt Lake Valley and the Oquirrh Mountains at the end.

HELL CANYON TO THE FROZEN WATERFALL IN SLC Located just a few minutes outside of downtown, this hike is best done in winter as you will be led to a stunning frozen waterfall.
