Experience PARK CITY

Even if you have never visited Utah prior to moving here, chances are good that you’ve heard of Park City - home to multiple world-class ski resorts, the annual celebrity-studded Sundance Film Festival, and the location of many sport venues from the 2001 Winter Olympics.

Park City also has a rich history in silver - mining for silver that is. In the1870s, Park City had the greatest silver mine in the world, known as the Ontario Mine. Many Utah natives have photographs of their great grandfathers standing outside this mine, captured in a timeless black and white image.

Most popular during the winter months for its incredible downhill and back-country skiing opportunities, Park City is a popular destination during the warmer months. Every Sunday during the summer, Main Street is closed to vehicular traffic and transforms into the pedestrian-friendly “Park Silly” street festival and farmer’s market.

A walk up and down Main Street will introduce you to the many high-end shops, art galleries, and excellent restaurants Park City has to offer. When you’re in this area, be sure to stop at one of the top restaurants, Yuki Yama for sushi, Fletcher’s for contemporary American food, or Courchevel Bistro for a taste of Europe. Afterwards, stop Java Cow or Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory, both on Main Street, for some treats.

No matter the season, there’s always something fun to do: hiking, horseback riding, skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, hot air ballooning, mountain biking, and of course, celebrity spotting at the famous Sundance Film Festival.
