A Note From Bob Stephanie’s letter to Sheridan House was perfect … and we wanted to share it.

For years Sheridan House has offered homes for teens with behavior problems and the vast majority were from single parent households.

It was like we suddenly woke up. Why were we waiting for a child to need time away from his or her home? Why not reach out and help the family before the child has to be removed from their home?

Today and for the past two decades Sheridan House has been helping single moms and their children while the child is still at home. IT’S ABOUT PREVENTION! Last year we had the privilege of working with over 4,000 single moms and their children.

It just makes sense to help parents before they need our residential programs.

Thank you Stephanie for reminding us about this important need. There will always be a need for these children’s homes, and in fact we need more. It just makes sense to do what we can to help as many children as we can, and avoid the tragedy of having them leave their homes to get the help they need.

Thank you for everyone who participated in our 6th annual Family Values 5K.

Because of you, this was our most successful 5K ever as we had close to 320 registered participants and we reached our fundraising goal. Together we raised over $127,000.00!!
