Recently a study was done on the academic progress of the children living in the Sheridan House Homes. The research showed that the average child doubles his grade point average in just the first semester with us. Grades are certainly important, but not at the top of our list. When it comes to the number of children and parents who chose to follow Christ while at Sheridan House, the statistics are even more exciting.

What does this end up meaning in the long run? It means there are teachers, police officers, business men and women, a pastor and even a houseparent who were once ready to quit on life. Instead they are doing great things today. And they’re doing it with Christ at the center of their lives.

Sheridan House for Boys “Our friends are having difficulties with their son. They’ve seen how much our son has changed since he went to Sheridan House, and they want the same for their son.”

Last year, many friends and families put on their running shoes to pound the pavement for the walk/run. This event has proven to be a great way for anyone to come out and show their support for Sheridan House. Unlike most 5K’s, the focus is truly on fun for everyone involved - participants, volunteers, and spectators. Join us in Stepping Out For Children and Families.
