February 2019

Love Is in the Air By Shauni Helmlinger, Arbor Activities Leader

F

ebruary is a wonderful month, full of love, at Shell Point’s assisted living residences. It is a special privilege to enjoy wedding photos shared by residents, some who were married 70 years ago and are still just as much in love then as they are today. Simply reminiscing over a picture can bring up old feelings, awaken new feelings and remind you of the special memories and love that was shared. The funny thing about love is that it tends to spread, and like a smile, it is contagious. Now is the perfect time to spread even more smiles and love to those around you. A simple loving word or hug means all the world! Although love is shared throughout the entire year, February brings a special and sometimes new

opportunity to spread love to those new and old friends. Assisted living residents will celebrate the love February brings at Shell Point during the upcoming Sweetheart Dinners. Residents will dress for the occasion and enjoy a delicious meal surrounded by lovely decorations, music, friends, neighbors and loved ones. You’ll find more information about your building’s event on the special events page of this newsletter. A lifetime of love is still being shared among many assisted living residents this month, next month and every day of the year. Love is always in the air at Shell Point! Published monthly for assisted living residents at Shell Point.
