away from the lawyers and will put an end to the hallway justice system that is currently in place. Over the past 12 years I have worked with foster children and their families, and believe in the Foster Parent’s Bill of Rights. The only way to truly know how a child is doing will be to hear from the people that are taking care of them. It is time for the children of Shelby County to have a judge that will look out for their best interests above all else.

I believe all parties that have a case in Juvenile Court deserve to see and be heard by the judge. The people of Shelby County are tired of waiting for months to have a hearing. No one should have to wait for 9 hours and never get to step foot in the courtroom. There is no excuse for waiting over 11 months to write an order. I will take control of the court

strive to use my experience to maintain the highest level of dedication for the children and families of Shelby County and I truly try to determine the best interest of each and every child before the Court. The “best interest” I strive for is the best interest of the child “through the eyes of the child.” In seeking this standard I hold myself and all involved in my court to consider each and every action taken “through the eyes of the child,” i.e. how does the action taken affect the individual child as seen by that child. Over the last eleven (11) years I have thoroughly enjoyed coming to “work.” Although the hours may be long and the cases may sometimes be difficult and heart-breaking, being part of a system that strives to strengthen families and support children through difficult times is truly an honor! Being able to “do my job” in Shelby County, Alabama is a privilege. We have great, supportive and caring partners in the school systems, social services, law enforcement, treatment providers and county government. I humbly ask and would be honored to continue to serve as the Juvenile Court Judge for Shelby County and I humbly seek your support in re-electing me on March 1, 2016. Dedicated, Proven, Experienced. Vote Kramer!
