Since 1964, the Bloomingdale Park District has strived to efficiently and economically provide recreation programs, facilities, and 170+acres of open space for enjoyable leisure time experiences that benefit the community.

The Bloomingdale Park District provides a wide variety of events and indoor and outdoor activities, unique facilities, and services. It offers over 2,400 programs providing fun, safe, affordable and convenient recreational services for the community. Residents are encouraged to check out everything the park district offers.

The Bloomingdale Park District consists of 13 parks. From the fountains at Old Town Park to the climbing rock at Lakeview Park, each and every park is unique.

Sunnyside Park (291 Glen Ellyn Rd.) has fully accessible playground structures for ages 2-12. The playground at Tompkins Park (151 Edgewater Dr.) is farm-themed to reflect Bloomingdale’s agricultural past and includes two pieces of interpretive signage.

Circle Park (163 Fairfield Way) playgrounds provide a gazebo, gaga pit, labyrinth, Storybook Trail, fitness stations along the path, basketball, and roller hockey, which transforms to ice in the winter, along with a skate spot and the Homola Picnic Shelter. In addition to its playgrounds, Lakeview Park (240 Broker Rd.) offers a climbing rock and the best fishing of all the parks.

The Bloomingdale Park District also offers tennis, pickleball and bocce courts, softball and baseball diamonds, soccer fields, walking paths and a disc golf course.
