What does it cost to reach the community through marketing? Where can you be updated on legislative issue that directly impact your business? The Chamber provides all this and more.

New members are welcome to attend a chamber event as our guest. Contact the President/CEO publications. Add promotional items to New Resident Chamber Bags to help inform new residents and businesses of your business. The Chamber welcomes new businesses with ribbon cuttings, provide online and print directories, social media posts, sponsorships for events and Scholarships, and more.

Join us at any of our variety of events from the Bloomingdale Breakfast Club, luncheons and free After Hours. Meet people beyond Bloomingdale with multi-chamber events with local and regional chambers of commerce. There are also our signature annual events where we welcome and encourage the general public to participate: Best of Bloomingdale; Chamber Classic Golf Outing; Restaurant Week; Senior Fair and the holiday promotions during the Festival of Lights.

Looking for ways to expand your business? Consider joining the Bloomingdale Chamber’s Leads Group: Bloomingdale ONE (Opportunity Network Exchange). This group meets twice a month to share leads and make referrals within a trusted group of fellow Chamber members. Think of the group as an extension of you, as you can’t be everywhere, but your Leads partners can help bring in leads and referrals for you.

Referrals

Looking for a new health care provider? Need to make some home improvements? Want a good caterer? Need printing? Call the Chamber office at (630) 980-9082 for a referral or visit the online membership directory at www.BloomingdaleChamber.com. The Chamber provides an average of 50 referrals a month.

Scholarship Program

Through the generosity of its members the Bloomingdale Chamber of Commerce provides an average $12,000 in scholarships to deserving students annually. Determined by an application process each spring, the scholarship program is open to all Bloomingdale residents and immediate family of Chamber members.

Score Mentoring

Representatives from SCORE are available to provide free one-onone business counseling for small businesses. Volunteers made up of active and retired business executives and entrepreneurs provides free business mentoring services to prospective and established small business owners.

Innovation Dupage

Chamber has partnered with Innovation DuPage (ID) to bring additional resources to you. ID is a non-profit venture that unites startup founders and small business owners with the people, resources and programs that support their growth. www. innovationdupage.org.

BLOOMINGDALE AREA WOMEN IN BUSINESS – BAWIB*

Bloomingdale Area Women in Business was created to empower, embrace, and equip women with the knowledge and resources to achieve their personal goals and reach their professional potential. This dynamic group of women seeks to expand professional opportunities through educational forums, professional recognition, and networking opportunities. Business women may join BAWIB without joining the Chamber for fee of $110 annually. Chamber members can join BAWIB for a reduced price of $55 annually.

BAWIB offers an annual scholarship(s) to an adult female who is looking to improve herself professionally by such means as continued education or professional development with the goal of furthering her knowledge and expertise.

With monthly events such as morning Coffee Connections or after-hours Cocktails & Conversation there are plenty of opportunities to build relationships with other professional women. BAWIB also has an annual mini golf event, multi-chamber events, informative luncheon and also volunteer group opportunities. Annually BAWIB recognizes one Woman of the Year who is a leader, has mentored others and given back to the community, all qualities embodied by Georgene Geils, a prominent local business woman who was a forerunner in the movement of professional women.
