MESSAGE FROM THE MAYOR

The attractive Village of Frankfort is in Will County, approximately 30 miles southwest of Chicago’s Loop. Frankfort is intersected by LaGrange Road and Lincoln Highway. Interstate 80 lies just to the north of the village and Interstate 57 is just east. Proximity to these major transportation routes offers residents and businesses within Frankfort easy access to Chicago, surrounding communities and the entire region.

As the envy of Will County, Frankfort is home to exceptional schools along with high-quality residential, commercial and industrial development. These qualities are why Frankfort continues to attract new residents with a population of 20,296 and growing. Given the village’s many assets, sustained growth and development are predicted.

Residents and businesses can expect high-quality village services and programs, including police protection, public street maintenance, water and sewer, planning and zoning, inspection services and code compliance.

The Village of Frankfort has a unique historic downtown that was developed along an abandoned rail line that has been converted into the Old Plank Road Trail pathway. The downtown area has evolved into a vibrant town center, providing a space for community events and a home to a variety of local businesses and great restaurants.

The Old Plank Road Trail has become an important community asset for Frankfort, providing both recreational opportunities and an alternative means of transportation to and from the downtown area.

Breidert Green and the surrounding area hosts many community events, such as Frankfort Country Market, Bluegrass Fest, Fall Fest, Concerts on the Green, car shows, arts and craft shows, walk/run events, and serves as a gathering place for residents and groups.

Frankfort is a community that continues to grow and thrive. The Village of Frankfort Board of Trustees and I welcome you to visit Frankfort and explore all we have to offer.
