Peace Train sounding louder? Director wants you to jump upon initiative for nonviolence BY ANGEL SIERRA asierra@saukvalley.com 800-798-4085, ext. 5695
STERLING – What does a cardboard train have to do with peace? It’s a conversation-starter. The YWCA is partnering with Bridge the Arts to promote peace and nonviolence by deploying a cardboard “Peace Train” to kick off October’s Week Without Violence. They are recruiting families, community agencies, businesses and groups to make cardboard boxcars to add to the train, using an anti-violence or peace theme, and large enough for a small child to sit in.
