Adult Program: Spotify Want to learn more about how to use Spotify to listen to music on your phone (or desktop)? Come to the library on Thursday, Aug/ 12 from 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. to learn! In-Person Storytime Resumes August will bring back in-person storytime every Wednesday at 11:15 a.m. at the library. We’ll read books and do a craft. No reservation required! Summer Reading Program Our Summer Reading Finale (open to those who participated in our SRP) will be Saturday, July 31 at Dillehay Park from 2-4 p.m. We will have Coal Black Exotics (reptiles), free snow cones and free small treats. The reptile show will be from 2:30-3:30 p.m. Registration is required by signing up with the library.

Come visit us and let us help you! Digital Network Access Grant We were the recipients of a Digital Network Access of Illinois Libraries Grant which allows wifi access 24 hours a day. Simply find MMPL Guest, agree to the Terms & Conditions on the login page and enjoy access for up to 8 hours! Funding for this grant was awarded by the Illinois State Library, a Department of the Office of Secretary of State, using funds provided by the U.S. Institute of Museum and Library Services, under the provisions of the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act.

Flying Fox Conservation Fund - Friday, Aug. 6, Registration & masks required In a joint program funded through the generosity of Maggie & Amos Foundation, Oregon and Mt. Morris Libraries are thrilled to have the Flying Fox Conservation Fund visit the community on Friday, Aug. 6 for two programs, 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. This is a free program with live animals (a sloth, armadillo, fruit bat and more), and open to all ages. Registration and masks are required. The programs will be held at the Rock River Center in Oregon. Flying Fox Conservation Fund is a not-for-profit organization. They are dedicated to the protection of Old-World

fruit bats and their habitat through conservation, education and research. One of their objectives is to educate people about conservation and the diverse and unique world of animals. Oregon Writers Group – 2nd Tuesday each month at 10 a.m. The OWG is a gathering of writers or writer-wannabes who meet to support each other and to further their own writing. The purpose of the group is to help and encourage you in your writing. If you need brainstorming ideas, we can help suggest ideas or aid with the creative process. SAVE THE DATE!! - Aug. 21 Our third Mystery Event – Wizard of Oz Themed There will be two shows available, one kid friendly show in the afternoon and an adult only show in the evening.
