TheBosfarmfamilyalternatesits harvestshowwithitsthreshingshowon oddandevenyears.Thisyearwasaharvestshow thathadallkinds offarming-relateddemonstrationsandhands-on eventsforkids.Nextyear,threshingwill takecenterstageinJuly.
Saturday sshow wastheprefectouting forShawnaBehalofWilton, owa, whosmiledasherdaughter,Everly,5, ranthehandcornshellerasotherkids pumped w aterfromthenearbyhand pump.

Kathy Smith of Erie is busy Sept. 21 making cornbread in the Cook Shack at the Bos Brothers Historical Farm’s Old Fashioned Fall Harvest south of Erie on Springhill Road Corn was pickedfrom a field with vintage machiner y and then shelled and ground into cornmeal Smith then made cornbread on agas stove in the shack. The wooden shack, mounted on wheels , was pulled to thre shing site s so workers could eat during thre shing se ssions without having to leave the field.

Therefurbishedpark,originallycalled10thAvenueParkorSchoolPark,hasbeenunderconstructionforthepastfewmonths.
Cityofficialsunveiledthenewnameof thepark FultonFriendshipPark Wherenewfriendships aremadeandrelationshipsarefostered.
Therenovatedparkis AmericanswithDisabilities Actcompliantand has newconcrete walking paths,anewwaterfountain,anewconcretebasketballcourtandmattingundertheplaygroundequipment.
FourthWardalderwomanJackie Wilkin,who spokeattheceremony,thanked the donors and organi ationsthatmadethe constructionpossible. nparticular,shethanked theTimkenFoundation, whichdonated 100,000.
ThenewnamefortheparkcamefromacompetitionhostedbyFulton sparksandrecreationprogram.
Andwewanttothankyou,thecommunity,who helpedsendin60submissionsforthename, Wilkin said. SincetheequipmentopenedinJune,thepark hasbeen packed. New friendshipsare beingmade daily. t sourhopethatthiscommunityspacewillbe asitefordevelopingfriendshipsforyearstocome.

Partoftheproblemcomes when confusing scarletfeverwithoneofits relatives,rheumaticfever.Because scarletfeverisassociatedwiththe streptococcusagent,itmayindeedgo ontocauserheumaticfeverandthereforeispotentiallyserious.
ngeneral,though, treatmentis readilyavailableandisforthemost partnodifferentthanthetreatment directedtowardstrep throat.
