TOASTMASTERS INTERNATIONAL WHERE LEADERS ARE MADE
The Bolingbrook Area Chamber of Commerce offers a professional development opportunity through its Toastmasters International Club Chapter. The Club meets the last Monday of every month from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Members experience the valuable practice needed to develop public speaking, communication, and leadership skills in a safe and supportive environment. Toastmasters International is a nonprofit educational organization that teaches public speaking and leadership skills through a worldwide network of clubs. Headquartered in Englewood, Colo., the organization’s membership exceeds 300,000 in more than 15,800 clubs in 149 countries. Since 1924,
Toastmasters International has helped people from diverse backgrounds become more confident speakers, communicators, and leaders professional development opportunity The Toastmasters Pathways is a self-paced, learning experience that provides an exciting, flexible and interactive way to develop personal skills and help others in the club develop theirs. Pathways teaches the communication and leadership skills needed for success. It gives the opportunity to build up to 300 unique competencies within 11 specialized learning paths to choose from and includes online content, so that learning can occur anytime, anywhere. The content available is in Arabic, English, French, German, Japanese, Portuguese, Simplified Chinese, Spanish, and Traditional Chinese, with select paths available in Korean and Tamil.
