PROGRAMS & PROJECTS BACK IN ACTION AT BOLINGBROOK PARK DISTRICT
Bolingbrook Park District is excited to be full-swing back into programming. Gymnastics, dance, youth sports, fitness, preschool, aquatics and theatre are filled with smiling faces. You can see all the opportunities available to you on our new website at www.bolingbrookparks.org. The site provides an easier way to filter directly to the programs you are interested in. Pelican Harbor Indoor/Outdoor Aquatic Park is also back up to its full operation. Families have been enjoying the new family changing rooms and renovated locker rooms. Exciting additions this year have been the expansion of our in-house swim team and welcoming Bolingbrook High School’s swim team. Progress has continued to be made on the projects slated from the successful 2018 referendum ask. Five new playgrounds were installed this past summer. These playgrounds included: Plimmer Park (410 Lily Cache Lane), Drafke Park (1125 Quail Run), The Forest (1399 Carriage Lane), Ivanhoe Park (190 Falconridge Way), and Century Park (1675 Apple Valley Drive). The Century Park playground was a small part of the entire Century Park project which included basketball and pickleball courts, a gazebo, new pathway, improved fishing area and overall park enhancements. This beautiful park expansion was made possible due to a successful grant application through the Illinois Department of Natural Resources. Our talented team has been busy putting together a year packed with fun for you in 2022. Our community events will be back in full swing with Winterfest kicking it all off in February.
