GROSS & FINE MOTOR SKILLS

MEETING THE NEEDS OF REGGIO EMILLIA ENVIRONMENTS

My project aligns with Reggio Emilia principles by supporting gross motor skills through the inclusion of flowing, open pathways in the floor plan, which ultimately encourage movement and coordination. An example is the curved, organic design of the main circulation areas, which invites dynamic exploration. Fine motor skills are supported by designated zones for tactile interactions, such as manipulatives or creative stations which foster precision and engagement. These elements reflect Reggio Emilia’s emphasis on hands-on exploration and holistic development.

12 RENOWNED CULINARY INSTITUTES

In this studio project, I conducted in-depth research on culinary institutes worldwide, analyzing their operations and identifying key factors contributing to their success. I created a map highlighting 12 of the best culinary institutes globally, showcasing their locations and popularity. After narrowing down my focus, I chose Le Cordon Bleu Istanbul for a detailed study. This included developing diagrams to illustrate its organizational structure and a breakdown of zone distributions within a professional kitchen.

THE CIRCUITUS

A WINDING PATH TO SERENITY

The circuitous is a destination that allows seekers of serenity to embark on a journey of discovering what sanctuary means to them. When visitors immerse themselves into this calming environment, they are able to find solace in the seamless fusion of contemplative yoga sessions, guided meditations, and immersive light therapy experiences. Where each activity is carefully molded to foster a holistic approach to well-being.

The objective of this studio was focused around the idea of not letting the world of AI frighten you, but instead challenge you to use it to your advantage. The AI programs that aided me throughout this project include midjourney and PromeAI, through the use of outputting quick variations of my own thoughts and materializing my renders.

TEAM PROJECT

ASYMMETRICAL

HARMONY

The future will coincide and embrace non-uniformity, whether it is related to design or the world in general. In the future, we will embrace each other’s individuality and use it to our advantage. The overall idea of asymmetrical harmony is designing a chair where that narrative and design encapsulate the reflection of individuality in design and people. All humans are perceived and built differently to culture their own identity, which leads us to ask the question of how that can drive the design of a chair.
