BACK T O SCHO OL Back to school can be a bit of a crazy time for many families, as they shop for clothes and school supplies and prepare for another busy year of activities. The easiest way to get healthy meals both in the lunch box and on the table is to make sure you have the right items on hand. This will not only make your life less stressful but will also help you save some time and money when it comes to feeding your family. Stocking your pantry with some better-for-you snacks and staple ingredients makes preparation a breeze.

In the produce department, turn to fresh fruit that is easy to pack like grapes and mandarin oranges. Choose veggies such as carrots, celery, and even jicama to make dipping sticks that pair perfectly with a yummy dip. In the grocery aisles, look for nut butters, hummus and chips, cheese sticks, applesauce cups, Greek yogurt, popcorn, etc.

RECIPE

PIZZA BITES Ingredients 1 jar of pizza sauce 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese 24 slices pepperoni 1 package of crescent rolls

Instructions Remove crescent roll dough and separate triangles. Manipulate triangle into a circle by pressing dough together. Press each dough circle into muffin tin. Place a piece of pepperoni on bottom and top with a little sauce. Top with shredded cheese and finish with one pepperoni on top. Bake at 350 degrees for about 10-15 minutes or until dough is golden in color.
