esus Christ, the Son of the Living God, after His victory on the cross, ascended into heaven on a cloud. The truth is that this same Jesus is soon to return as King of kings and Lord of lords! Every believer stands upon this foundational truth that the King is coming! Jesus is now seated at the right hand of God the Father, making intercession for the saints. However, there is coming a day when the trumpet shall sound and He will return to this earth to rule and reign for all of eternity. We must, therefore, as the Bible instructs, make ourselves ready, ready to meet our King. Is your heart burning to see the
triumphal entry of Jesus Christ? The cry of our hearts is Maranatha! Come, Lord Jesus!
The written word of God is a gift. One thing I continue to anchor to is the passion and pursuit held by men and women of God as they journey the path that the Lord has set before them. From King David to Apostle Paul, Mary of Bethany, and John the Revelator – we see perseverance in pursuit of the King of Glory. The farther along they were with the Lord, the hungrier their cry was for the ‘more of God.’ I want my heart to burn for Jesus! I want to have a greater passion for pursuit the longer I know Him. Lord! Keep the fire burning in me!
May the door of our hearts remain steadfastly open to the King of Glory! In Psalm 24, King David writes, “Lift up your heads, O you gates! And be lifted up, you everlasting doors! And the King of glory shall come in” (Psalm 24:7). This is a prophetic cry to awaken the hearts of those who have been called by His Name. Known as the Psalm of Triumphal Entry, we are given a developing revelation of what was promised to King David:
the promise that a seed from his line would sit enthroned forever in Jerusalem. In David’s immediate time, he brought the Ark of the Covenant back to its rightful place in Jerusalem. It had been in captivity with the Philistines for too long, and then lack of protocol delayed its journey to its rightful place. Now, the Ark, “whose name is called by the Name, the Lord of Hosts, who dwells between the cherubim” (2 Samuel 6:2), the symbol of Jehovah’s majesty and the pledge of His Presence among His people, was returning!
We are caught, however, with the question, “Who may ascend into the hill of the Lord? Or who may stand in His holy place” (Psalm 24:3)? During the time of David, was there one who could truly identify with clean hands and a pure heart, that did not give place to idols, and had truth on his lips at all times? The answer was ‘No.’ It was only the coming Christ who
qualified. His dwelling is purity itself. Only Jesus Christ can enter by His own right and His own Name. What does that mean for us? Because of Jesus! In the new covenant of His death and resurrection, we, by faith, are one with Him. Clean, pure, and righteous as He is. His purifying blood forever washes away our sins. We are called by His Name!
David’s cry was to open up the gates, open up the doors! The King of Glory was making His rightful entry. Psalm 24 has so many prophetic revelations. Jesus Christ made His triumphal entry riding on a donkey into Jerusalem before He would go to the cross, as the crowds lifted their voices, shouting Hosanna! This was to fulfill Zachariah’s prophecy. And yet, we know that all prophecy will be fulfilled when the King of Glory enters into the new Jerusalem riding on a white horse, and on His robes shall be written King of kings and Lord of lords! Oh, Lord! Make us a bride that is ready to meet you! Help us to recognize your glory in our midst.
Why are the gates and doors told to
lift up their heads? I think of a soldier’s defensive posture barring an advancing enemy’s entry. They are tired and weary, having thwarted many an invader. They then hear the declaration that they have been longing for, “The King of Glory shall come in.” Could it be? Their reply, “Who is this King of Glory?” What a question! Think of the joy when the response is, “The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle. The Lord of hosts, He is the King of Glory” (Psalm 24:7,9). Praise be to God! It is upon recognition of who He is that the doors are demanded open, thrown wide open, to give Him His rightful entrance. He has returned from defeating death, hell, and the grave. The battle has been won; victory belongs to Jesus! He is the King of Glory!
Under the New Testament covenant, through the blood of Jesus Christ, we have now become the temple of the Holy Spirit. Think about that! This is the wonder and majesty of our God! In 1 Corinthians 6:19, the Apostle Paul is asking the church in Corinth a rhetorical question.
The Amplified translation presents it, “Do you not know that your body is the temple (the very sanctuary) of the Holy Spirit who lives within you, whom you have received [as a Gift] from God? You are not your own…” Paul isn’t expecting an answer. This is not new information. Paul is reminding them of something that should be foundational Christian knowledge. We are now the Tabernacle of His Presence! Jesus Christ was the temple made manifest in human form. (“Jesus answered and said to them, ‘Destroy this temple, and
in three days I will raise it up’” (John 2:19)). After the resurrection, He sent His Holy Spirit to now dwell in us, His people!
Once we truly understand the revealed truth that our body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, it changes everything! There is an expectation of holiness and of engaging the world around us. We should expect to have an impact on the advancement of the Kingdom of God wherever we go. “Behold, I stand at the door
and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come into him and dine with him, and he with Me” (Revelation 3:20).
Doors and gates are very prophetic in the Bible. Gates in biblical Israel weren’t just a doorway into the city. They were where prophets cried out, kings judged, and people met, like in the ancient city of Dan. The Bible also speaks of doors symbolically as passageways, communication, or agreement. In Matthew 25:10, Jesus
tells a parable about ten virgins who were not ready, and the door was shut. Then, in Luke 13:22-28, Jesus relates a parable about the narrow door. Acts 14:27 speaks about an open door for Gentile faith to the Apostle Paul in his first missionary journey throughout Asia Minor. A door is a symbol of opportunity, and a key is a symbol of authority. The apostle Paul referred to this in 2 Corinthians 2:12, “When I came to the city of Troas to preach the Good News of Christ, the Lord opened a door of opportunity for me” (NLT).
The Greco-Roman calendar year 2024 correlates to 5784 in the Hebrew calendar. From the naming of children to elicit their destinies to the correlation of numbers bringing forth specific fruit each new year, the culture of Judaism is very prophetic. The year 5784, based on the “4”, represents “open doors.” This is the year of the Open Door! Is your heart stirred with a new hunger, a new passion, to seek His face? Do you have a desire to know Him like you have never known Him before? Are you desperate for God? Are you the Doorkeeper of your own heart determined to steadfastly open at the beckoning of the King of Glory? The King is calling! There is so much that the Lord wants to reveal to those who are hungry, to those who seek, to those who ask, to those who knock. By His sacrifice on Calvary, we are given access to boldly enter the throne of grace. Do you step in? Do you open the door? Do you make way for the King of Glory to enter? I believe this year, the Lord is opening great and effective doors of opportunity for your life. We must be poised and ready to seize these moments!
Saints! You must be aware of the reality of the return of Jesus Christ. The King is coming! To the church in Philadelphia, it was written, “‘...These things says He who is holy, He who is true, “He who has the key of David, He who opens and no one shuts, and shuts and no one opens” : “I know your works. See, I have set before you an open door, and no one can shut it; for you have a little strength, have kept My word, and have not denied My name. Because you have kept My command to persevere… Behold, I am coming quickly! Hold fast what you have, that no one may take your crown. He who overcomes, I will make him a pillar in the temple of My God, and he shall go out no more’” (Rev. 3:7-8,10,11). There is such confidence in this! The honor to persevere in
obedience to Christ. We are commanded to persevere. It is not a suggestion! It is a foundational posture of the Christian. Even when we feel little strength in the midst of the battle, as long as we keep moving forward, keep believing, keep declaring, we will cross the threshold of the door that the Lord has ordained open. No one! No one has the power to shut it. The ultimate reward is the privilege to have a permanent place in the house of the Lord. Oh, that we may gaze upon His beauty and inquire in His Temple all our days.
We must seize this moment while also understanding the great opposition and warfare that is a very real part of the Christian experience. We have victory, but many are the trials and tribulations of the righteous. This battle is intense. We must be intentional about our position before the Lord. Are you looking for Him? Are you watching for His entry? Do you long for His return as the Triumphal King? Stay hungry. Stay burning. Let your heart ache for His Presence. Yield to the Holy Spirit. Carry yourself as the Temple of God that you are!
Preparing daily is not a mere suggestion; it is an imperative for those who long to walk in God’s purpose and power. Just as a soldier sharpens his sword daily for battle, we must sharpen our hearts with a relentless pursuit of God’s Presence. It is a fierce commitment to spiritual readiness, refusing to settle for shallow spirituality in a world desperate for authentic faith. “And do this, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep. For salvation is nearer to us now than when we first
believed. The night is far gone; the day is at hand. So then let us cast off the works of darkness and put on the armor of light” (Romans 13:11-12). Apostle Paul is pleading with the Roman church, stressing that it is high time. Now! Go! Move! Declare! Can you feel the urgency of the hour?
We, as the church, as the people of God, are called not only to stand but be spiritually awakened to what is happening through the eyes of faith, the light of Christ, and His eternal Kingdom. Jesus Christ has paid the price. He died and rose again, alive forevermore! We have been given the gift of the Comforter, the precious Holy Spirit. As carriers of the Spirit of God, may your spirit man remain always alive, always awakened to the urgency of the hour. The King is coming. He will return to the cries of a desperate bride longing to welcome Him to His rightful place here on earth. His throne is established.
truly believe that we are on the cusp of one of the most significant outpourings of the Holy Spirit across the nations of the world. I sense that this move will not be defined by geographic locations or confined to just buildings but one that is distinctively recognized through the emergence of a follower of Christ who desires to be radically moved by the promptings of the Holy Spirit at whatever the cost.
I anticipate that such a people are those who –however harsh the spiritual terrain – will be fully committed to walking wherever the Spirit leads
them to see a harvest of souls transformed by the power of the Gospel. I like to refer to such people as “The Power Walkers.” More importantly, I understand the Bible to describe them as “the [mature] children of God.”
Apostle Paul said, “For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God” (Romans 8:14). Here, Paul used the Greek word “huios” for the word “children” that can be translated as the “mature children” of God. Alternatively, the Greek word Paul used for children in Romans 8:16 is “tekna”, where he describes all “children” who have
placed their trust in Jesus Christ. However, what Paul appears to be describing in Romans 8:14 is a mature child of God who has grasped their full identity in Christ and become fully committed to carrying out the Father’s will and doing the Father’s business.
So, what does it mean to be a Power Walker or one that the Spirit of God truly leads? Quite often, my wife and I will head out on full-day hiking expeditions to explore and enjoy the beautiful terrain of the English countryside. After a number of walks, however, I quickly realized that the glossy “preplanned routes” on my phone navigation apps were only sometimes in sync with what we would ever experience in the real-world environment. Nobody could ever prepare me for the pain of the
challenging steep inclines, harsh, rugged terrain, or the unexpected closed footpaths that produced long and unwanted detours. I discovered that, in reality, these real experiences would ultimately develop my resilience, perseverance, and desire to attempt future walks to benefit from views more spectacular than I could ever experience at ground level. I quickly realized that if you really want to see the view from the top of the mountain, you must walk up it first.
I am convinced it is the same in our spiritual walk. We should never expect the Christian lifestyle to be a “quiet walk in the park,” but one that requires us to be ultra-obedient and ready for whatever the Holy Spirit asks us to do. A generation is rising now of such believers, who are no longer happy
with the sluggish pace of religiosity wandering through life, but instead are fully prepared to step out of their comfort zone to witness the wonder of God. Paul said, “Be very careful, then, how you live - not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil” (Ephesians 5:15-16). There is no doubt, then, that if we want to experience these God-given opportunities, we ourselves are ultimately responsible for making the most of them.
In Acts 16, Paul and his companions quite clearly desire to go preach the Gospel in the province of Asia. However, Dr. Luke writes an intriguing phrase that “the Spirit of Jesus would not allow them to” (Acts 16:7). Paul was so finely in tune with the Holy Spirit that he didn’t choose to argue with God’s guidance but simply stopped and waited for further instructions. Subsequently, Paul has an extraordinary vision
from God of a man in Macedonia calling him to go there instead. The Bible records that Paul made himself ready at once to leave. It is essential for us that our Christian walk is not about being busy for God but rather being prepared for God at all times.
I believe that God is searching the world today for those ready to follow His Spirit’s direction above their own plans and to be the vital carriers of His Presence to shake the dark forces of this world and reveal a greater level of God’s glory. Many believers today can, unfortunately, be too content in attending church to get their fill of the deep revelation without ever considering openly sharing the message they carry. In the book of Romans, Paul delivers a striking statement in which he says that “creation waits in eager expectation for the children of God to be revealed” (Romans 8:18). Could it be that the world already has some
form of subconscious expectation that we have been instructed from God to explain to them in fullness? Apostle Paul said, “How can they hear without someone preaching to them” (Romans 10:14)?
In 2013, after eleven years of church attendance, I made the decision to not just be a “church seat warmer.” Instead, I began to share the Gospel on the streets of Cambridge in the UK. Amongst many testimonies, I once had the privilege of praying with a young Spanish lady who was in need of prayer for severe pain in her lower back and professed to have one leg much shorter than the other. Accompanying
her was her devout Muslim friend, who patiently watched us outside a local fast-food restaurant as I began to pray and believe God to re-align her spine. After a simple command of faith, I quickly began to witness the power of God touching her body as her shorter leg began to grow a few inches out and leave her totally pain-free. Furthermore, her testimony began to stir up faith in her Muslim friend to ask us to pray that Jesus would remove a painful condition he suffered in his hand. Astonishingly, I witnessed God touch this dear Muslim man, removing every trace of his pain. He was so amazed that after sharing the Gospel with
him, he made a decision to surrender his life to Jesus. That night, I learned very quickly that obedience to walking wherever God takes you is the key to releasing His Kingdom on earth and that it is available to any follower of Christ who simply chooses to grasp it.
In Luke chapter 4, we read that Jesus was full of the Holy Spirit before He was led “by the Spirit” into the wilderness. The Bible goes on to say that after forty days, “Jesus returned to Galilee in the power of the Spirit” (Luke 4:14). There is no doubt that to be led by the Spirit will
have its days of real testing. Still, the great reward is the experience of then walking in the power of the Spirit.
I believe God is looking today for the 21st century “Peters” who are fully ready to step out of their boats to walk on the waters of God’s plans, as well as the “Esthers” of our society who will boldly walk into places and speak up with boldness, even though it may cost them everything to see God move.
Now is the time to ask ourselves if we will choose to be the “Joshuas” and the “Calebs,” who saw the Promised Land through the eyes of the Spirit of the Lord, that saw past many adversities and started the journey of walking into God’s greatest opportunities.
or years, I earnestly prayed and desired to reach the nation of Nicaragua with the Good News of Jesus Christ. I had carried this burden for years, feeling this nation could be transformed through mass Gospel Campaigns with the
declaration that only Jesus can save, heal, and revive a nation.
Nicaragua was a nation where I had not made any Kingdom connections. However, I stood on the promise of Psalm 2:8, “Ask of Me, and I will give you the nations for your inheritance, and the ends of the earth for your possession.” God opened a door through Mountain Gateway, a missionary ministry founded by Britt and Audrey Hancock that had toiled the soil for years in this nation. Through this relationship, we were invited to Nicaragua for the first time.
In the scouting trips we took prior to the first Gospel Campaign, we traveled to three different regions where our trip finished at a meeting in Managua, the capital city of Nicaragua. We had over 1,000 pastors gathered with an expectation of hearing what the Holy Spirit was getting ready to do in the nation. Right before I was handed the microphone to cast the vision for what we felt the Holy Spirit wanted to do in Nicaragua, a powerful sign was given to the gathering of pastors. A 5-inch scorpion appeared out of nowhere and was walking right in front of the pulpit. All the pastors in the front were startled as the scorpion moved around
on stage and then made its way toward the first line of chairs, where one of the local pastors stepped on it, killing it.
The dead, crushed scorpion was then placed in a napkin and then put on stage, where the camera focused on it right before I began speaking.
I felt in my spirit that it was as though the enemy was trying to say with the scorpion, “This is my territory, and you’re not welcome here.” However, as I saw the dead, crushed scorpion, I was reminded by the Holy Spirit of Luke 10:19, “Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.” I told the room full of pastors, “God has just given a prophetic word to the nation of Nicaragua: that spirits of oppression, addictions, witchcraft, and division will be crushed just like this scorpion in the Name of Jesus.”
The encounter with the scorpion served as a vivid reminder of the spiritual warfare taking place in Nicaragua. Yet, through the authority given to us by Jesus Christ, we were able to declare victory over the powers of darkness and proclaim freedom and deliverance in His Name. While I was speaking to the pastors, they all arose and started to pray. The air was electric with anticipation as each minister poured out their supplications with an intensity that seemed to shake the very foundations of the room. It was a moment pregnant with possibility, as these spiritual leaders united in faith, believing for nothing short
of a revival to sweep across their beloved nation.
The scene was reminiscent of historic movements of God, where prayer birthed revival and transformed nations. One cannot help but draw parallels to the Azusa Street Revival, where William J. Seymour and his body of believers ushered in a mighty move of the Holy Spirit through the power of prayer. Just as Seymour and his companions experienced the outpouring of God’s Spirit on that fateful night in 1906, so too did these pastors in Managua yearn for a similar manifestation of God’s Presence and power.
It is said that every mighty move of God begins with a prayer, and indeed, history bears witness to this truth. From the great revivals of yesterday to the present day, the pattern remains unchanged: when God’s people humble themselves, seek His face, and turn from their wicked ways, He hears from heaven and heals their land (2 Chronicles 7:14).
The first Gospel Campaign in Somotillo mirrored the spiritual battle we faced. Our flyers were tied down to dead birds mixed with witchcraft, and prayers to false deities attempted to thwart our mission.
However, recalling the story of Elijah confronting the prophets of Baal, we called upon the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Mirroring Elijah’s plea in 1 Kings 18:36, “… Let it be known this day that You are God...”, we witnessed the manifestation of God’s power as the city
of Somotillo experienced transformation through salvations, miracles, signs, and wonders!
Continuing our journey across Nicaragua, testimonies poured in of church growth and community revival. The unity among
denominations, reminiscent of Jesus’ prayer for believers to be one, underscored the essence of true revival. As 1 Corinthians 3:6 reminds us, Paul said, “I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the increase.” When the body of Christ comes together, we become an unstoppable army.
Throughout Scripture, we are called to pursue unity with one another, reflecting Jesus’ prayer as mentioned in John 17:20-21, “I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word; that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us,
that the world may believe that You sent Me.” Jesus prayed for unity among His followers, emphasizing the importance of the world recognizing God’s love and salvation.
In a world marked by division, strife, and polarization, the unity displayed in Nicaragua
served as a powerful counter-narrative. It demonstrated that when believers set aside their differences and unite around their shared faith in Christ, they become a force for transformation and reconciliation.
While in the city of Chinandega, Nicaragua, a
remarkable phenomenon unfolded as the unity of the church ignited a fervent hunger for the Presence and power of God. We witnessed as thousands upon thousands of believers converged at the crusade field, shutting down the city in their relentless pursuit of a move of the Holy Spirit.
The magnitude of the gathering was unprecedented, reaching historic attendance levels that left onlookers in awe and wonder. As the streets overflowed with expectant hearts and lifted voices, echoes of Acts 17:6 resonated through the air, “...These who have turned
the world upside down...”
Indeed, the fervor and hunger exhibited by the churches of Chinandega had the potential to tranform the very landscape of their city and beyond.
At the heart of this extraordinary gathering was a hunger—a hunger for more of God, a hunger for His Presence, and a hunger for His power to manifest in their midst. It was a hunger born out of desperation, a recognition that nothing else could satisfy the deep longing of their souls but an encounter with the living God.
In Psalm 107:9, the psalmist declares, “For He
satisfies the longing soul, and fills the hungry soul with goodness.” This truth served as the anchor for the faith-filled expectancy that permeated the atmosphere in Chinandega. For these believers, hunger was not merely a feeling but a spiritual posture—an unwavering pursuit of
God’s promises and a relentless quest for His glory to be revealed.
Our next stop was León, Nicaragua, where a profound demonstration of faith unfolded, a testimony that defied the odds and left a powerful mark on all who witnessed it. There was a

catalyst for continued prayer, action, and faithfulness in fulfilling the Great Commission. May we be inspired to press on in our own spheres of influence, as Ephesians 3:20 says, “knowing that God is able to do immeasurably more than we can ask or imagine.”
woman facing a prognosis from medical doctors, telling her she only had a few days left to live due to cervical cancer ravaging her body. To add to her suffering, she had an open wound on her abdomen that refused to heal for three months.
With nothing left to lose, the woman made a bold request to her doctor to be allowed to attend the crusade in León. Little did the doctors know that her plea was not merely a last desire from a dying woman but a profound declaration of faith in the power of Jesus to heal and restore.
As she stepped onto the
campaign field, the Prayer Team prayed for her, and a miracle unfolded before the eyes of all present—a testament to the power of Jesus, as declared in Hebrews 13:8, “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.” In a display of God’s power, the cancer that had threatened to kill her withered and died, and
In our final Gospel Campaign of 2023, we were met by the assembly of churches, large and small, rich and poor, urban and rural, in the heart of Managua, which was a testament to the power of faith and unity. At the “Plaza de la Fe,” the Plaza of Faith, over 300,000 individuals gathered to hear the Gospel. We attribute the gathering of thousands not to any organization but to the Holy Spirit, whose Presence unified believers in glorifying Jesus.
As we look to the future, may the legacy of revival in Nicaragua serve as a
have known about Shake The Nations and Ev. Nathan for a while, and one of the things that I have been so impressed by is the ministry’s hunger for souls – the desire to see nations changed with the transformative power of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Looking at the story of my life so far, I can see that the Lord has been preparing me for this season. In March of 2023, I joined the ministry as Latin America Gospel Campaign Associate. In this role, I work alongside Ev. Mauricio Canales and the rest of the Shake The Nations team to make the Gospel Campaigns in Latin America successful.
As a police officer in Daytona Beach, Florida, I learned the importance of multitasking. I developed the ability to think quickly in a variety of situations. This is very helpful on the campaign field as things change rapidly and adjustments need to be made. No Gospel Campaign is the same. No matter how much you prepare, there are always variables that are not expected! This is similar to my time as a police officer. I also learned the importance of how you treat
people. As an officer on the street, you meet many interesting people in some of the most stressful times in their lives. This skill set to read situations is very helpful when dealing with large crowds on the field. People can be desperate to receive their miracle, or the challenge of dealing with many different pastors and leaders and having the grace to remain in unity –this is very important when helping coordinate a Gospel Campaign.
The Lord then transitioned me to be Pastor Jim Raley’s assistant at Calvary Christian Center in Ormond Beach, Florida. This was an invaluable experience, as I learned from an apostolic father the ins and outs of pastoral ministry and leadership. This was a time when I developed my logistical skills and fine-tuned my ability to serve men and women of God.
One of the things I am most surprised about here at Shake The Nations is what we are able to accomplish with our five loaves and two fish. When you see the fruit, you think that we are a large team of 30 people. But it’s not; what it is, however, is a family that loves the Lord and is
obedient to His calling. He blesses the rest. We aren’t perfect, but what we are is a family.
I want to encourage you to expect more from God! He wants to use you. Step out of your comfort zone. Pray for people. The reward is not in the outcome; the reward is in the obedience to the Holy Spirit. You will be amazed at what the Lord has in store for you!

think it’s safe to say that we live in a world that seems divided over just about anything and everything. Everyone seems to have their own thoughts and opinions, and we have no problem voicing them. Division seems to have crept in among humanity for the sake of being “right.” However, that is not the heart of the Father concerning our lives as Christians.
Jesus prayed, “that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You…” (John 17:21). It is clear that God has not called us to be divided. He has called us to live in unity as one among our brothers and sisters. Unity is the weapon that will always defeat the enemy’s tool called division.
Often, we need clarification on what it really means to be in unity. We think we are in unity because we are together. Yet, the reality is that everyone around us looks the same, speaks the same, believes the same, and, yes, even votes the same. That is not real unity; that is uniformity and
sameness. Real unity can only exist in the midst of diversity. We can be diverse without division. Power comes when we thrive in unity amongst diversity. Real unity is only manifested when we can place our differences aside and come together from all different places, backgrounds, races, languages, cultures, and political beliefs to focus on something that is bigger than us. Imagine being able to come together for a greater purpose. What is that one thing and purpose that brings us all together, you may ask? The Kingdom of God and the Gospel of Jesus Christ! Unity is the beauty of the Gospel!
When we realize that what brings us together is more important than what tears us apart, that is when unity is truly manifested. When you live a life full of unity, you will live a life full of blessings. We read this in Psalm 133, “Where there is real unity, that is the place that the Lord commands His blessing.” I don’t know about you, but I want to live a life where unity attracts the blessing of the Lord over me.
I want to challenge you to be intentional about living in unity. Try to be intentional about connecting
with someone who doesn’t think like you, look like you, or even believe like you. Have a conversation with them, learn from them, and get to know them. Now, that doesn’t mean that you will always agree on everything, but it does mean that you choose to focus on what brings you together over the things that drift you apart. The Kingdom of God and the Gospel of Jesus Christ will always be the ground where we can come together, united as one. As you live in real unity with one another, you will see the commanded blessing of the Lord over your life!
wanted to start this article by saying “thank you” to our Covenant Partners. Through your dedicated support and commitment, we can achieve the vision and goals that God has placed upon Shake The Nations Ministries under the leadership of Ev. Nathan Morris. When I think of you, our Covenant Partners, I think of the verses in Ecclesiastes 4:9-12, “Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, one will lift up his companion. But woe to him who is alone when he falls, for he has no one to help him up. Again, if two lie down together, they will keep warm; but how can one be warm alone? Though one may be overpowered by another, two can withstand him. And a threefold cord is not quickly broken.” This scripture highlights the strength and benefit of working together, supporting each other, and standing united to see a common goal accomplished. Together, along with the Holy Spirit, we become this three-stranded cord spoken about in Ecclesiastes.
God has called us to preach the Gospel to the nations. We can only do this with your prayers and financial support. We believe in the power of agreement, of working together for the sake of the Kingdom of God. Our prayer is that through partnering with this ministry, together we can take the full Gospel of Jesus Christ across
the nations of the world, making a lasting impact for generations to come! Some may ask why we use the word “Covenant Partners.” Why not donor, supporter, or even just partner?
When I think of the word covenant, I think of the word commitment. In the Bible, it refers to a sacred, unbreakable agreement or pact between God and humanity or between individuals. These agreements are not merely contracts; they establish a deep and lasting relationship based on mutual promises, trust, and faithfulness. It is the commitment to be there for one another, to lift up, defend, and advance the common goal (which, in our case, is to preach the Gospel to the ends of the earth). But we must remember we can’t do it alone; we do it together, and I believe in the end, we will be crowned when we stand before Him on that day as He says, “Well done thou good and faithful servant.”
One of the greatest examples of commitment and loyalty is found in the book of Ruth. We see a covenant partnership between Ruth, a Moabite woman, and her mother-in-law, Naomi. Sadly, both women lose their husbands and feel like there is nothing left for them in the region. Naomi decides to send everyone on their way, to return to their families, and to try to make “better” lives for themselves. It is at this moment, where it seems like there is nothing left, that Ruth makes this famous vow (covenant) with Naomi to stand with her, saying,
“Where you go I will go, and where you stay I will stay. Your people will be my people and your God my God” (Ruth 1:16).
It’s in their commitment to one another that they go to Bethlehem together arriving at the beginning of the barley harvest. Seeing that their partnership led them into the harvest field is amazing. Through Ruth’s determination to provide for herself and Naomi, she works in the fields of harvest, and it is in that very field that she finds not only her own but Naomi’s redemption as well. Their redemption
was found in the fields of harvest, but it was their Covenant Partnership that led them there.
So many of us have relationships that aren’t producing fruit, they aren’t establishing the Kingdom. What did God command Adam and Eve to do? Genesis 1:28 says, “Then God blessed them and said, ‘Be fruitful and multiply.’” A true sign of God’s hand being on a partnership or relationship is that fruit is produced and multiplied. The Bible even goes as far as to say those relationships/partnerships in your life that don’t produce fruit and multiple should be cut out. John 15:1-5 says, “I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit. You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to
you. Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me. I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.”
There is a pruning process with God, but there is also a taking away. Both hurt like crazy, but both further the Kingdom and should lead you down the path in which God has called you. So, with every partnership, we should be looking for and even expecting fruit or multiplication that is establishing the Kingdom.
Where are your partnerships leading you? True partnership should always produce something. Are they counting for eternity?
Naomi had another daughter-in-law named Orpah, who went her own way and is never mentioned again. Ruth, on the other hand, makes a Covenant Partnership with Naomi, and through faithfulness to the harvest field, she finds herself in the lineage of Jesus Christ. What a beautiful illustration of loyalty, hard work, and redemption.
The more I think about this story, the more I see the parallels between the story of Ruth from the Bible and the concept of Covenant Partnership.
Ruth’s declaration to her mother-inlaw, Naomi, expressing her loyalty and commitment, reflects a deep bond and partnership. Similarly, in Covenant Partnerships, there’s a sense of unity and shared destiny where individuals commit to journey
together, supporting each other. That was the vow that Ruth declared. It reminds me of our Covenant Partners because where we go, they go, and when we stay, they stay, our people are their people, and our God is their God! You see, it is together that we go or together that we stay; we can’t do it alone. It takes both sides of the partnership to accomplish the end goal. Together, we reap the harvest that honors our God, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
Redemption is always found through Jesus Christ. For Ruth and Naomi, there was not only a blessing but also an establishment. The path of obedience that began with a Covenant Partnership brought forth Jesus Christ, and through Him, the greatest covenant of all time was made.
In the new covenant of Jesus Christ, through His life, death, and resurrection, Jesus bridged the gap between humanity and God, offering reconciliation and restoration to all who believe in Him. Moreover, our Covenant Partnership with God through Jesus Christ provides a sense of security and assurance.
As heirs of God’s Kingdom, we are promised eternal life and inheritance alongside Christ. This promise offers comfort and confidence, even in the face of trials and tribulations, knowing that we are held firmly in God’s loving embrace. Through acts of
our connection with God, living faithfully to the call, and sharing the transformative power of His love with others.
compassion, justice, and mercy, we will continue bringing hope and healing to a broken and hurting world. And this work, the work of the Gospel, is the product of the greatest Covenant Partnership. Through it, we look to journey through life seeking to deepen
This is why I know Covenant Partnership at Shake The Nations is at the core of God’s heart. Our vision is that we see not only the fruit of blessing but also the establishment of His Kingdom throughout the earth. We are committed to you and the God under which we make this covenant. So, if you are reading this and you are Covenant Partners, I want to end this article by saying “thank you” once again for your faithfulness and support to Shake The Nations Ministries. Without you, we couldn’t have done or continue to do what God had asked of us. Just like Ruth and Naomi, I believe our Covenant Partnership will lead us into the fields of harvest, where the lost shall be saved and brought back
to right standing with God through receiving and believing the message of Jesus Christ.
I end with this Scripture found in Philippians 1:3-5, “I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the Gospel from the first day until now.” With God by our side, we are confident in our ability to conquer any obstacle and reach new heights together. God bless you, and may God let us bear much fruit and establish His Kingdom together in the mighty Name of Jesus!
e have been partnering with Shake The Nations for some time now. We know that it is good soil. Not only do we follow the reports on social media and partner communications, but we also decided to join the team on a Gospel Campaign in Managua, Nicaragua, last year. Our desire was to see the Gospel in action. It is one thing to see a social media post, but to be in the field with tens of thousands of people and to witness their hunger for God, our lives will never be the same.
We were amazed by the expectancy of the people. They came to the field expecting to receive their miracle. It was truly humbling to experience. As we prayed for people, the Lord met them, and their lives were changed through healing, deliverance, or a much-needed touch of the fire and love of God.
We were also grateful for the other members of the Prayer Team. It felt like we had known each other for years. Coming from the UK, we didn’t expect to know anyone, but the Lord had different plans! We had a very dear mutual friend with one of the other members of the team, and that brought
us great joy. God cared enough to have both of us on the same trip. We also were greatly impacted by the morning prayer and devotion time. We felt such a spirit of unity as we worshipped the Lord and cried out to Him for the nation of Nicaragua.
When we returned home from the Gospel Campaign, we were different people. Our hunger for prayer had increased. My (David) job required attention six days per week, but I made the decision to say “No” to additional clients so that I could be with the Lord in prayer. God has blessed this decision. We are hungrier for the Word of God as well. We have a bigger capacity and
desire to step outside of the church and impact the community around us.
Partnering with Shake The Nations is a decision that will change your life. You are joining with the mighty harvest of souls for Jesus Christ!
want to share an inspirational quote with you from one of my favorite preachers of all time. Charles H. Spurgeon said, “Time is short. Eternity is long. It is only reasonable that this short life be lived in the light of eternity.”
This well-known quote from Charles Spurgeon reveals that to live our lives reasonably, we must live our lives in the light of eternity. In Ecclesiastes 3:1, the Bible says, “God has set eternity in their hearts.” When eternity is set in our hearts, we understand that we have a limited time to make a difference and leave a mark of eternal impact here on the earth. It has been eternity burning in the hearts of men that has kept the Gospel going forth from the time when Jesus walked the earth until this present moment.
In John 9:4, Jesus said, “I must work the works of him that sent me, while
it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.” Jesus walked with purpose during His time on earth. He knew He had a window of time and eternity propelled Him forward as He lived out His purpose and calling. This same motivating factor is still propelling each one of us today. For we know there is a day coming soon when we will no longer be able to work and our time on earth will come to an end. When we see life through the lens of eternity our priorities come into proper biblical alignment. We know that when we stand before Him only that which we did for eternity will truly matter.
Through Hope Of All Nations, we want to be intentional about reaching people through acts of kindness. We believe how we care for people has eternal impact. As believers, we are called to be the hands and feet of Jesus demonstrating His love to a broken world. Recently, we had an opportunity to put this into practice as a ministry.
This past December, our team ministered in the inner city of Argentina. We partnered with Rey de Reye’s church in Buenos Aires for this outreach. In the inner city district where we were working, the event
had to be scheduled at a certain time of day due to the danger presented to the children attending. The area was notorious for drug dealing, narcotics, and gang activity. Our mission was to reach the children of this community with the Gospel and give them hope for a brighter tomorrow. Activities at
this event included: haircuts, clothing distribution, dental cleanings, medical evaluations, feeding, and most importantly, presenting them with the Gospel message. We had many children at the event make personal decisions for Jesus Christ, and families that lived around the field also heard the Gospel and responded to the message.
One notable addition to this Hope Day was that Christ for all Nations donated a thousand Spanish books written by Evangelist Daniel Kolenda. These books were specifically designed for children on how to take their next steps after salvation. Every child who came to the event took one of these books home and we know that many lives were impacted for eternity as a result. The Bible calls us to not just make converts, but to go and make disciples. We know that these
books are key to helping disciple the next generation to grow in their new relationship with Jesus.
We look forward to doing more Hope Days and Gospel Outreaches in the days ahead. We have seen incredible fruit and hearts soften to the Good News of the Gospel when it is presented in both word and deed.
Thank you for your support and for helping make this possible! You have truly made a difference for eternity!
hen we receive a promise from God, we all go through a process until that promise is fulfilled. There are various phases during that process, and sometimes, they seem to repeat themselves. But it really all does start with a promise.
Whether it is a prophetic word, a dream, an impression, or a word in the Bible, you have found or received certain promises, and you just know that God has given them to you. So now what?
It all starts with a promise.
The first thing the enemy will try to do is to rob the seed of that promise. I have discovered that the people in your life are not always the ones who will encourage you and cheer you on in pursuing the fulfillment of your promise. First of all, they will not
have received the same revelation from God, and secondly, you will often find that they respond from a place of pain and jealousy. So when I have received a promise, I don’t broadcast it to the whole world. Instead, I only share it with my wife because it is so fragile and precious. We will pray about it together, and we will proclaim it. Trials and tests are a joyous thing when you understand the reason behind them.
This is very important as “the power of life and death” are in the tongue (Prov. 18:21). It is in the words we speak. By saying the promise out loud, we speak life into the promise we have received. And when the enemy comes to sow seeds of unrest and to bring doubt and unbelief by whispering, “See, you can’t do this,” or “You misunderstood God’s words,” I always return to the promise. That is why it is of vital importance to write down
your promises. Don’t just allow it to float around in your head, but write it down. Write the vision and “make it plain” and stand on the promises you have been given (Hab. 2:2). There is something else that I want to mention. When you have received a prophetic word, you need to ask yourself if that word is a NOW word. Is it something that is going to take place now? How many of us, when we have received a prophetic word, have ended up in a situation that seems to be the opposite of that which was prophesied? What is the first thing that comes to mind? Were they wrong?
seeing your trials and tests as a joyous thing because you understand the reason behind why you are going through such things.
James was very straightforward about this: “Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything”
(James 1:2-4).
Timing is everything.
Are they a false prophet? Perhaps the word was not correct? I have often seen people, especially young people, who have received a wonderful word or a beautiful prophecy in a safe and blessed environment in conferences, churches, or Bible schools. They are in this amazing bubble of anointed atmosphere, and when they leave that atmosphere, they end up in situations they were not prepared for.
We need to prepare a generation through training, speaking, writing, and teaching them how to deal with pressure and rejection and how to endure difficult processes and tests so that they will not be surprised when these things occur. They should actually be surprised when these things don’t happen! They will experience it as pure joy! Imagine
Timing is crucial. What I have often seen is that when a promise is received, there is a period of time in which the opposite seems to occur. That is the waiting room, where nothing seems to be happening, but God is actually at work behind the scenes. I have often experienced this myself, that things got so quiet that I started to wonder if God was doing anything at all in my situation. But He was always at work for me. That is fascinating.
Being patient is very important too, as well as trusting that God will fulfill his promise to you. Our part in all this, our responsibility, is to remain standing on that promise, whether it seems like something is happening or not. Lack of faith and fear are the two components that turn the fruitful ground of God’s Kingdom into barren ground, preventing any growth from happening. Abraham’s story and the promises he received from God have always been very encouraging to me. Abraham knew that his God was a God of covenant. The covenant that was made between God and him and the consequences of that covenant are pretty amazing (Heb. 6:13).
We live in a culture of contracts; our society really does not understand the whole concept of covenant anymore. Abraham knew this, “God, you have given me a promise. I will be a father of a nation. But I am infertile and old, how is this supposed to happen?” Then God said, “I am going to make a covenant with you, a blood covenant.” Because of the culture and the era he lived in, Abraham understood what
a blood covenant meant: both parties were bound to this covenant. There was no way to get out of it. Abraham realized, “If I do not keep to this covenant, keep these promises, then all of these curses will come upon me. But if I do keep to this covenant, then all of these blessings will come upon me.” God, who was the other party in this covenant, had to keep to His promises as well, because it goes against His nature not to keep His promises. So Abraham knew that God would uphold his part of the covenant.
We can read in the New Testament how Abraham held onto the promises of God without doubting and without entertaining the spirit of unbelief. It is powerful! And I think there is something in our current culture, this thought that, “If God does not answer within a certain amount of time, I will give up and start looking for something new.” That shows a total lack of character. To continue trusting God, thanking Him for character, and to remain standing on His promises - that is a character trait that our generation needs to develop. The story of Abraham goes on to tell that God did, in fact, fulfill His promise to Abraham, but it took a very long time.
Don’t give up.
When the Lord gives you a word, He knows what you are going through at the time and what you will be dealing with in the future. He is loving enough to give you a word of life before the people around you or the situations you are in start to give you words of discouragement, death, and destruction. So when the opposite happens in your life after you have received a prophetic word, write the word down, share it only with those who are for you, and proclaim it out loud every day of your life, “Lord, You said ...!” Just like Timothy was encouraged by Paul, “Timothy, my son, I am giving you this command in keeping with the prophecies once made about you, so that by recalling them you may fight the battle well, holding on to faith and a good conscience...” (1 Timothy 1:18-19a). Don’t give up! Fight the good fight.
rayer moves God’s heart. Unity in the body of Christ is a witness to the nations of the Lord’s soon return. When that unity comes through prayer, there is power. Jesus Christ Himself modeled the role of the intercessor in Hebrews 7:25. The hours of unseen labor in the prayer room to the eyes of man, are actually the constant filling of the bowls of incense in the throne room of heaven, accelerating the return of the Lord.
Last year, Shake The Nations Ministries partnered with Mountain Gateway for Buenas Nuevas (Good News) Nicaragua (please see the Infusion Summer 2023 Issue for the back story). This was an unprecedented collaboration between the mass crusade movement and the missions movement, coming from two different spheres of influence, united under one banner— winning souls committed to Jesus Christ.
The idea for the Initiative came in May 2022, with the first of eight campaigns scheduled for February 2023. With that in mind, we had to move quickly to build an intercessory prayer team. Chad and Gabby Prytula, Prayer Directors with Mountain Gateway, joined us in creating a team to prepare the ground for what the Lord would do in the nation of Nicaragua. We could not fathom all that was to come.
This was new territory for both ministries. Working together, we gained clarity and confidence from the Holy Spirit regarding how
things were being prepared and the groundwork being done. There was great favor in the nation that could have only been from the Lord.
Not only was there unity between the two ministries, but the in-country churches were a beautiful display of the power of unity in prayer. Before the campaigns, Mountain Gateway spent time traveling the region, meeting with pastors and the local communities. The pastors would then go strategically into the communities three weeks before the campaigns with their church members into the neighborhoods, going door to door, inviting people to the campaign, preaching the Gospel, and praying for the sick. This effort alone resulted in tens of thousands of salvations and many healings! Glory to God! Each community also took ownership
of the field where the Gospel Campaign was to be held in their region. They would go to the field daily to pray and worship, establishing the territory for Jesus and consecrating the land. It is such beauty to see the body of
Christ walking in the authority that they carry because of the blood of Jesus!
As mentioned, Shake The Nations and Mountain Gateway formed specific intercessory prayer teams for this project. Before each campaign, we would generate specific prayer points. It was such a privilege to be led by the Holy Spirit to pray specifically for each location. We joined for two days of prayer and fasting and met before each trip via Zoom. It was a very special time of sharing what
the Lord was communicating. As someone going to each of the campaigns, I was greatly encouraged that we had such strategic prayers being offered before the Lord.
Somotillo was the first of the campaigns for 2023. This was the most rural of the locations, near the border of Honduras. For us, it was very strategic that this major border crossing, ‘The Gatekeeper’ to the nation, was the first location. It led us to pray for God to open wide the doors to the heart of the land with a great outpouring of the Holy Spirit. We felt the battle in the spiritual realm, and then we saw it in the physical. Witchcraft charms and animal sacrifices were found as the team prepared the campaign field. We saw sacrificed chickens with the campaign flyer tied to it hanging around the town. Also, on a hill overlooking the region, witches were seen casting spells down onto the field. Now more than ever, I am convinced by the power of prayer. I am thankful for the groans we utter in the Spirit when we don’t know
what to pray for, and I am grateful for a comprehended strategy. The Presence of the Lord was so powerful on the field! The enemy had no power! You could feel the time and consecration the local church spent on the field, declaring it for Jesus Christ.
Another interesting point in the region was the fertility of the soil. The government website states that the area does not have fertile soil. Yet, other sources revealed that the soil is both deep and fertile due to volcanic materials. We discovered that historically, a curse was spoken over the land. With that, we were led to pray for the people in the region to regain their identity. Just as the soil had lost its identity as a productive region, so had the people lost their identity as children of God. We spoke specifically to the land to regain its productivity and the people to be awakened to understand the reality of Jesus Christ and receive Him as Lord.
The city of León, for example, is known for its universities and educational systems. The university in León is the second largest in Central America, giving it major influence throughout the region. We were led to pray for the professors and the students. We prayed specifically for a mighty move of God in the hearts and minds of critical leadership in the academic sphere to impact the region for good. We prayed for an awakening to the relationship available with Jesus Christ, not just the religious exposure to Christianity that historically is known in the region.
I think of other regions where the burden on the intercessory prayer team was to pray specifically for the protection that comes from the blood of Jesus over the team’s traveling. Yes, we know that this is the condition of the Christian, but the level of warfare warranted additional awareness of the protection that we carry. This led us to incorporate communion into our pre-trip preparation. There is great power in the blood of Jesus! We felt a new level of protection and authority with this action, one that we will continue.
There is always more to learn about Jesus. He is a never-ending sea of discovery for those who desire to seek and find. I am grateful for the unity in prayer that has developed between Shake The Nations and Mountain Gateway, as where there is unity - it commands a blessing (Psalm 133). This is the truth of God! May we grow together as we grow in Him.
