Over 60 years of business have made the Mazzoni Group a leader in the agro food industry. It was one of the first Italian companies to grasp the importance of integration along the entire fruit and vegetable production chain.

The plant material from Vivai Mazzoni is the result of the R&D activity performed with passion, competence and professionalism. For decades Mazzoni has being successfully executing a wide program for developping new high quality strawberries and apples varieties. They are particularly tolerant to environmental stress and diseases thus maximizing the respect for the environment. Vivai Mazzoni have patented the Bibaum® system, a double leader plant that is well-suited to highly mechanized fruit cultivation.

The Nursery.

The Mazzoni nursery business focuses on the production of strawberry, asparagus, pear plants and pome fruit rootstocks. The nursery is also a licensed producer of apple trees of the Cripps Pink®- Rosy Glow® variety, commercially known as Pink Lady®. The quality and health of the nursery’s plant production is guaranteed by strict health and genetic controls at all stages of the multiplication process, in accordance with the national and EU phytosanitary standards. Vivai Mazzoni is a leading producer of strawberry plants in pots and hightech greenhouse conditions.

The fruit and vegetable plantations from Agricola Mazzoni are GlobalGap and Tesco certified, guaranteeing optimal, consistent quality. The huge range of fresh produce, both conventional and organic, enjoys the benefits of an integrated supply chain that combines new product research, the nursery, cultivation on suitable land and marketing. All this through the adoption of innovative systems and respect for biodiversity and natural balances.

Since 2000, Mazzoni has believed and invested in the organic sector and the company is now a solid and efficient concern on the European market. Its own “Verybio” brand, a network of specialised manufacturers operating in the key organic areas, the commitment of qualified personnel and the synergies of a great group allows to market organic products with efficiency and professionalism.

The company is investing in the conversion of land for organic fruit and vegetables production in the coming years.

Frozen fruit and vegetables.

For several decades Mazzoni Group has being working with the leading companies specialized in the processing and distribution of frozen fruit and vegetables. Qualified technical staff manages and controls the production of fruits of the wild berries and strawberries in the most suited areas worldwide.

Since 2015 at our headquarters we have being producing a range of over 35 fruit purée varieties for ice cream parlours, bakeries and restaurants and in 2017 we developed a new line of cocktail purées and 150g single-serving packs for smoothies. A constant innovation in quality and product ranges. The Mazzoni Frozen facility located in Tresigallo is BRC and IFS certified.
