Aston Kinsella Yearbook Design Samples

The following pages are from the Sentinel High School Bitterroot yearbook, 2017-2018. As Co-Editor-in-Chief, I share responsibilities with two other editors on staff. My primary role first semester was to help students learn the Walsworth design software program, use the cameras, work in Adobe Photoshop, and facilitate team-building with the staff. I personally had a hand on every page in the first deadline (of 105 pages) sent to the Walsworth plant. Our yearbook, for a student body of approximately 1,300 students, is primarily a photo essay. As a staff, we chose not to have long articles, or much text, as our student body doesn’t like it. In the past, when we have created copy-heavy books, our sales plummeted--by almost 40 percent. Thus, we decided to give the people what they want--more photos amd more room for personal signatures. The spreads that follow are samples from the 2017-2018 book that has yet to be published. Following are a section divider page, the opening theme spread, a portrait divider page, and the varsity volleyball spread. I created these pages, and made templates for other students to use throughout the book as well.
