UPCOMING SOCIETY PROGRAMS SSF Poster Session On Friday, October 22, the Society of Self Fellows will host a virtual poster session. This poster session will provide the Society with an opportunity to learn about current work of the members in a virtual se�ng, offering both a professional development for those who share their work and an opportunity to network as a Society. Poster Session a�endees will include the current Self Graduate Fellows, members of the Society of Self Fellows, and a few campus partners. The event will not be open to the public. Applica�ons are due September 6, 2021, and will be reviewed by the Society of Self Fellows Board of Governors and Self Graduate Programs staff. Authors submi�ng abstracts that are accepted will be no�fied by September 28, 2021. Details of �ming will be included in the acceptance confirma�on.

Explore Environmental Policy The 2021-2022 Public Policy topic for the Self Graduate Fellowship will be Environmental Policy.. It will include a look at human interac�on with the environment, climate change, tradi�onal indigenous knowledge, the work of the Environmental Protec�on Agency, waste management, interna�onal nego�a�ons, and more. Included in this will be a reflec�on on how those items intersect with social jus�ce.
Star�ng this academic year, the Society of Self Fellows will be exploring the same public policy topic as an alumni group. Quarterly, resources related to environmental policy will be posted to the SSF Slack channel (h�p://bit.ly/SSFSlack). You are encouraged to post your own resources, your thoughts and reflec�ons, and keep watch for some scheduled �mes to engage as a Society in conversa�on about this topic.
