We open our Australian Manufacturing and Quality Control Centre in Ingleburn, NSW.
We celebrate our 50 year anniversary and two million dwellings built in Japan.
We expand our operations into the USA.

We launch our flagship masterplanned community at Gledswood Hills, NSW.
Our first SHAWOOD exhibition homes are opened at Gledswood Hills, demonstrating our home building philosophies and advanced technologies developed in Japan.

One Central Park is awarded Best Tall Building Worldwide by the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH).
We commence marketing our SHAWOOD range of homes, available for the first time in NSW at Gledswood Hills.

In a landmark event, we jointly open the $63 million Bennelong Bridge connecting the peninsula suburbs of Wentworth Point and Rhodes in Sydney’s innerwest.
We complete $600 million+ worth of new land acquisitions across NSW and QLD, stretching our pipeline of projects beyond the next ten years.

We launch Sanctuary, our third masterplanned apartment community in Wentworth Point, comprising approximately 2,000 premium waterfront units.
We reach delivery of 10,000 properties across Australia.

We commence construction of Aire, the second stage of The Orchards, Norwest.
The first residents of Sanctuary, Wentworth Point move in at the end of 2020.
Australia was part of Sekisui House’s international expansion strategy. We acquire our first development sites in Australia in 2009.

Sekisui House signs an alliance agreement with Frasers Property Australia, to jointly develop the visionary Central Park project in Chippendale, Sydney.
We deliver the first stage at The Waterfront, Wentworth Point NSW, our first masterplanned apartment community in Australia.

Ecco Ripley, our first masterplanned community in QLD commences development.
Over 10 million trees planted by Sekisui House globally since 2001.

Sekisui House executes an agreement with international golf champion, Greg Norman, to design and build a premium signature golf course at Gledswood Hills, NSW.
Ecco Ripley, QLD achieves a 5-star Green Star rating from Green Building Council Australia for sustainable community development.

We commence construction of The Orchards, Norwest and West Village, Brisbane, adding another 2,500 properties to our existing pipeline.
Over 14 million trees have now been planted by Sekisui House globally since 2001.

We completed construction on SHINKA House, Sekisui House’s first net-zero energy home outside of Japan.
We celebrate 10 years in Australia.

The first VIP release for Norman Estates residences in Australia delivering Sekisui House’s distinctive SHAWOOD homes in a landmark residential community.
We commence construction of Altura residences and the Greenhouse commercial office at West Village in Queensland, marking the halfway completion point for the masterplanned village.
