Best Practices

Integrate literacy into science: Students build listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills through scientific investigation. Instruct students to annotate the printed transcript while listening to the podcast. Students can use textual evidence in class discussions, journaling, and when creating podcasts.
Harness student curiosity and creativity: Practice activities provide opportunities for creative expression. Encourage students to work collaboratively to make their designs come to life.
