Serving Through Song

Sharing your gift and passion for music is a fulfilling way to serve our church and community, as well as a dynamic opportunity to live more fully into the life of Second Presbyterian and usher the congregation into inspiring worship. Music Ensembles and Fine Arts Programs are open to anyone in the community—you do not need to be a member of Second to join. Bring a friend!

Weekly rehearsals: Thursdays, 7-9 PM and Sundays, 8:55 AM

Under the direction of Dr. Michelle Louer, this high school/adult ensemble provides musical leadership for Sunday worship services, September through May. Anyone with a love of singing is invited to participate.

Second Winds

Weekly rehearsals: Wednesdays, 8-9 PM

Rehearsals begin Wednesday, September 6

All youth and adults who have completed at least three years of study on a wind, brass, percussion, or string instrument are welcome to join this project-based ensemble. The ensemble typically plays 3-4 times a semester in service, during coffee hour, or at special events such as the annual picnic.

Handbell Ensemble

Weekly rehearsals: Saturdays, 9-10:30 AM

Rehearsals begin Saturday, August 19

Moderate music-reading ability is helpful, and a sense of rhythm and coordination is important. No audition is required. Open to eighth grade students through adults of all ages.
