El viaducto se resolvió mediante un tablero prefabricado de cuatro vanos biapoyados cada uno. La luz entre ejes de apoyos de cada vano es de 36 m por vano con casi 150 m de luz total.
En la fachada marítima de Tarragona se ubica Puerto Tarraco, una de las marinas para yates más modernas de Europa, con una capacidad para más de 117 yates de esloras comprendidas entre 22 y 120 metros, un muelle de espera de 125 metros y un calado medio de 9 metros.

El elemento estructural resultante será una losa con elementos aligerantes pero que va a funcionar como un elemento unidireccional. También podría asimilarse a una prelosa armada pero hormigonada in situ.
Una vez que el hormigón consigue la resistencia mínima para soportarse así mismo y a lo que sobre él gravita, se procede al desencofrado y descimbrado. prefabricado, compitiendo con el forjado tradicional en economía y mejorando su estética y durabilidad.
