Website launched for Tide Mills Project The LYT members working on the Tide Mills Project are delighted to share the full website for this exciting creative heritage scheme. The new site features information about the overall project, details about the celebratory week – which will be open to all and take place 20th – 26th September, as well as a huge range of learning resources. Use the online learning pages to discover the incredible history of the site, its landscape and inhabitants. Learn about the original mill building and its most prestigious owner William Catt, the ground-breaking Chailey Marine Hospital, the astonishing WW1 Seaplane Station and Marconi radio station, and the pioneering stables run by David Dale in the 1920s. There is also information about ways in which you can get involved in the Tide Mills Project yourself, such as Kittie Kipper’s ghost net weaving project, which is a great way to get crafty during lockdown. Check out her page under ‘Learning Resources’ for tutorial videos and information about how to get hold of your ghost net weaving kit to take part.
