Seaford Community First Responders Receive Queens Diamond Jubilee MedalS
Seaford First Responders are very proud to announce that Adam Doughty, Tracey Wood, Sue Haren and Pete Gwilliam have each received a Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal for their volunteer work in the Seaford area. The four have each been volunteers with the First Responder Scheme for over six years and have attended in that time around one thousand 999 calls recieved in Seaford. They have also done huge amounts of fundraising and public-awareness talks, going along to many different groups, talking about CPR and what to do if someone collapes near to you. The group currently consists of 10 members but they are always looking for new Reponders or people who want to be involved with the group in other ways. Anyone interested can contact the Responders at: www.seafordresponders.com. Photo (l-r): Adam Doughty, Tracey Wood, Sue Haren, Pete Gwilliam

PLEASE BRING VOUCHER ALONG WITH YOU TO QUALIFY.
local Zumba instructor in Olympic opening & Closing Ceremonies Local Zumba instructor Louise Cave has been busy with the Opening and Closing Ceremonies of the Olympics these last few months. Louise auditioned last year and was selected, along with 1,000 others, to be a drummer in the Industrial Revolution scene in the Opening. She was also one of the drummer marshalls whilst the athletes paraded on...drumming her plastic bucket (no expense spared) for two hours. At the Closing Ceremony, she again was one of the marshalls, keeping the athletes safe from all the cannons, fireworks, etc. Oh, and she wore a blue bowler with a light on it....! Many hours of practice in the rain paid off and the Ceremonies were a resounding success. Seaford Scene is a completely independent small business.
