COMMUNICATION COMMANDER: The city of Brookings is seeking applicants for a full-time exempt Communication Commander to supervise the day-to-day operations of the communications center and carry out supervisory responsibilities /scheduling of dispatch personnel. In addition, will provide enhanced emergency 911 dispatching services , answer calls and maintain radio contact with emergency services departments. Associates degree in communications, business or closely related field preferred. Minimum of five (5) years full-time experience in a full-service law enforcement communications center.
