SDES Key Accomplishments Launched a Chatbot (Knightbot) using AdmitHub. Knightbot is able to answer first tier triage general financial aid questions. STUDENT FINANCIAL AID: Financial Literacy Program (Centsible Knights) ranked in the Top 50 in the U.S. (LendEDU 2020). STUDENT UNION: Four-year renovations and expansion of the Student Union has just been completed and includes new office spaces for Student Government including a Student Senate chamber, a Reflection Room, two gender neutral restrooms, and a mother’s room. The food court has expanded to nearly double seating capacity and now has a full-service Starbucks on the second floor. UCF: Premier Institution in Florida for LGBTQ+ students by Campus Pride Index (ranked at this level since 2016). ENROLLMENT SERVICES:
UCF DOWNTOWN STUDENT AFFAIRS: Enrollment Services, Student Success and
Engagement, Well-Being and UnionWest at Creative Village Student Housing was operationalized in the past year to serve the needs of over 7,700 downtown students including 600 students from UCF and Valencia College housed in a new residence hall facility, mixed use building — UnionWest at Creative Village. The student services areas served over 30,000 duplicated student contacts in their inaugural year and had over a 95% student housing occupancy rate. UNDERGRADUATE ADMISSIONS:
UCF hosted 48,800 visitors to the university in the 2019–20 academic year. This number includes appointments (F2F and virtual), daily tours and information sessions, special group tours, and Open House events.
